Practical difference, no. But realistically based on historical behavior that has been anecdotally witnessed by many there will be a difference.

If an NPC is there for Story, the story probably isn't the detail of what is being put where in sexy times. FTB, move along, it's best for everyone.

If there is an actual story point that comes out in sex (like NPC turns into a millions spiders upon climax or something), just skip to that point

I think it depends on the type of game and what those hours of game play involve. If it's 12-16 hours of Story? Sure.

If it's 12-16 hours of running around in an open world OMG why isn't there fast travel... less so.

Personally I wouldn't consider 30 hours to be a short game. 12-16 would be.. shortish, but again content matters.

$60 for 8 hours or less though would be pretty terrible.

I very very very rarely will read someone desc. Usually only if they mention something in it. I also have brief mode turned on so I don't read room descs either. 99% of the time the short desc/room title and other peoples poses are enough to go on. I also rarely look at PBs and probably the best way to put it is that I visualize a character more as a concept than a person. Dunno, I stopped care about descs probably a decade ago and can't say I noticed a difference. If a game requires a desc for chargen nine times out of ten I'm just reusing one from an old character.

And as others have said there are more factors at play than just playing a dude in public. I played a celibate character for so long that it tends to flavor my RP in a way that doesn't invite propositions unless I'm actively trying to make the dude flirty.

How is it if you've never read any of the books?

I tried the Android apps a couple of years ago and back then it just wasn't a good experience. Kinda spoilered on iOS by how good MUDRammer is.
