mechanic, carpenter, electrician with farming skills.

This describes most farmers in general.

A lot of RL people have a weird mix of skills. I have a friend that was a professional ballet dancer, delta force special forces sergeant, and about to finish his PA degree. Obviously not a RPG character or it would it an MD instead of the PA

When at a drive thru during a busy time don't get up to the speaker and ask the person taking the orders "what would you recommend that isn't coffee"

It's Dunkin' Donuts and the line is out to the street. Just pick something and movd along.

    • RE: Character likeness

During the first decade of my MUing it was 4. All words, all the time. The places I played just didn't do pictures at all.

Now it seems like everywhere does. It's made me lazy. I can't even remember the last time I read someone's description. 1 and 3. Reuse a desc from a previous character that's close enough.

When I picture RP in my head everyone is basically a faceless blob anyways no matter what the pb or words say.

@bluebird Joe Abercrombie's stuff. All of it is pretty good and the audiobooks well done.

    • RE: RL things I love

A friend finally got out of an abusive relationship. And not just got out off, but made it so the guy lost his medical license, his job, and had to move out of state and won't ever come back. Woo for karma finally coming in.

@shangdi if you made the code available as a plug-in I bet some other Ares 2e games would pop up

@arkandel it's not built in like FSS, but there is a perfectly functional dice roller.

    • RE: Good TV

@lotherio there was an all OC super hero game in recent times? One issue there may have been marketing.

    • RE: Returning to MU*ing, looking for recommendations

It seems like it's going to be a long while before OCs open up on Arx again. But! I saw someone posting that they were trying to make a new roster character so maybe that process is still open? Can work with someone to make a roster you'd want to take up? Really not sure if that is open right now either though, but I saw it on the internet so it's probably true.

    • RE: Are there any high fantasy MU*s?

@chibichibi I believe there is still Dresden files RPG code out there that could easily be applied to that sort of setting.

Its fate though, not everyone's cup of tea.

      What don't die

You can use this as marketing. Buy a cat for your enemies!

I'm going to commission one for all the Big Bads. Even if only one keels over I'll still be a hero.

I am curious with She-Ra.. I've recommended it a bunch to various kids and so far none of them have liked it.

Is it one of those shows that appeals way more to adults than the supposedly intended audience?

this past year, I was expected to use my own personal time, off the clock, to finish my PMP

This. If you're expecting someone to have some sort of ongoing training/certification as part of their job don't expect them to do it all on their time off.
