RE: RL Anger
@auspice So i dunno if this is related or will help, but I am diabetic, and i used to get the same fucking thing. Part of it was general ill health, but it happened every time I took insulin right before bed. It was connected (for me) to rapid sugar dropping + being in bed/laying down.
Now mostly I get cramps while swimming, but nowhere near as bad. I used to wake up with either shin or calf cramps and my leg twisting back unable to straighten.

@Wretched What's Arcade, pressshus?
http://fatesharvest.com/w/Arcade
That is what i am basing the idea on, but with MOAR (including something I am currently calling the 'Soap opera Ressurection' the idea of which would be to use an alternate currency to bring back a 'dead' character. I mean, its a thing in almost all the related media, the Winchester Brothers, etc. Prolly not applicable to PVP (but nothing entirely ruled out), but might encourage more Risk of established/loved PC if bad dice didn't mean permanent loss. Earn tokens, spend them, and instead of dying from falling off that train, you return with a cybernetic arm and some manchurian brain damage, or some other fun and improbable scenario. But thats a whole other conversation.)
@Sunny The idea of trading tickets is interesting, I was more thinking of the objects you could by themselves. Like a Gewgaw or trifle costing like 4 tickets or whatever (with an idea of a randomizer vending machine that only costs 1 but its random and might not even be from your sphere, but totally tradable or cool to add to an IC esoteric museum of some sort), but direct trades seem interesting too. Semi Related is Our Resources and Crime stuff

RE: NPC Roster
So last night I expanded on this a bit, and so far a few people have mentioned positive things, and i am looking for more feedback.
So there will be Families on Miami, no surprise, and we were also building an NPC family, intended to be deeply imbedded in local politics with hooks all over the place in most spheres.
The Idea is this: What if we handed that entire family, to Player ST's. Like take a huge set piece, that can affect the game, spheres and institutions of the game, that are all connected to a larger thing, and just hand it to the player base to run plots with. Differing and even clashing ideas from ST's can be family infighting. With a little structure built into it, but minimal staff interfearance.
It'd be a bit of a trust exercise back and forth, but one of the bigger things I hear about on games in the past is feeling like you cant affect anything in the game. This could ne just one way to do it, Sucess from the 'Evil Family' would grow thier influence, failure means they are driven back a bit.
I feel like I'm finding the shape of a cool idea... I just need to make sure it's not just old food in my teeth.

RE: King of Sex Mountain
Sex mountain in my head looks like,, a pair of rounded peaks, perhaps with a rock, almost engorged spire between em. Maybe listing to one side a bit.

RE: Buying Shit
@paris As someone who always wanted to be a 'drawer' growing up, i was religiously attached to pencils (preferably mechanical) and good paper. I wanted to draw comics for a while, or illustrate.
Then life happened and Family happened (you wanna take drawing? how about drafting, that is like drawing but you can totally get a job with it. What do you mean it's your elective, were your parents and we know best) So instead i took drafting, which i hated, then wooshshop, which was better but also not 100% my jam. then Finally drawing one year (after a long fight about how no, i did not want to take drafting 2., and then peer pressure to take DRAMA from friends, which i hated.
ANYHOW, a few years back i got a tablet and started doing some doodling on it and the learning curve is STEEP. Trying to dust off old skills too is rough, and as Theno said, the bamboo's quality is pretty crap these days and the software... ugh. I havent bought one in a few years but am looking again.
However, coming back to the mention of them starting young, fuck yeah. I was drawing on my dinosaur books as young as i can remember. Definitely get them a tablet, get them familiar with the tech as it comes out, feed that passion. Dont set up roadblocks like my family liked to do.

RE: Avatar / Korra game considerations
Thoughts about setting. I like the Korra tech vibe and the open options, but I am also a fan of 'unexplored' wilderness. Tho mebbe unexplored is the wrong word. What about a non established city, a new settlement that is in the process of a 'boom' in population and incoming technology from Republic City. (I am just starting Korra season 2 so i cant comment on spirits yet.

RE: Difference between an NPC and a Staff PC?
@Thenomain For every person that claims 'I just type porn words back and forth for hours and i stirs nothing on my loins.' there are another 15 of them that are typing one handed and will tell you about it. How do I know this? Because I've been MUing for 20 fucking years. Because I have direct experience as a player and a staffer. Because i have read about it on MSB and WORA. Because there is no reason that you as a staffer need to engage in TS to further the plot of the fucking game.

RE: Poll: Do I enjoy this hobby more than I don't?
As someone building a game that is going slowly, and hasn't really RP'd much in the last year +, let alone really invested in a character, because of the aforementioned game building and health. Its a generous and vigorous mix of love and hate.

@Cadi And Lil' Rain is sad everytime Jason leaves.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
@Paris @Auspice So i messaged this to Paris privately but i'll just tell the world.
I am generally suuuper skeptical about kitchen gadgets... but the 'Slap Chop', or a cheap 8 dollar version on Amazon is amazing. For things like Garlic especially, I buy fresh peeled garlic, tho this thing will usually also help it peel. Instead of standing and chopping and risking cuts (because While i like to cook I am still me, who will even typo in the kitchen.) you just put your stuff under the thing, smack it a few times and VIOLA!
It seems silly but it changed my kitchen life.

@Ghost host So we're still doing better than WORA! Wooo.
I mean I assume.

RE: Class/Society Systems, WoD
@thatguythere Yeah, supernatural things do things supernaturally, and people can lie/present themselves in defferent ways potentially.. I'll definately make a note for this kinda thing.
A couple related ideas were to uncouple actual resource scores from it (white trash hitting the lotto aint gonna be high society, at least not over night)
Another idea was to give mortal types bonus influence in these area in cg.
