      @Misadventure Maybe, but I have played way to many MU*'s to just not be concerned where holes for exploitation exist and aren't addressed one way or the other. People are often competitive and that means they will use every little bit of power they can in order to make themselves 'better' than the rest. I also do not play on the game, just stating what I've seen on the few times I've visited there.

      It's worth a vote down by the guy running it though so.. yeah.

      You're right that there does need to be more direction, especially in a super hero game, and that is something that Aberrant did rather well: This is the world, now go crazy! Some people like tighter themes though where the 'bad guys' are clearly laid out and that ain't Aberrant. Everyone there is Shades of Gray depending on how you look at it. Except for the guys who go completely cray but that's a given.

      To me though M&M is a system where you need a lot of GM oversight in order to make a conducive environment for play, and mass amounts of PC's with 1 staffer who works and has RL etc is... not a good fit for it.

      Just my opinion.

      Though I am not gonna back down on the fact that there are PL 12 people on the grid, when most people are PL 10 by the rules of CharGen which is sketchy.

      @Ganymede
      Yeah, I'm working on some bells and whistles. I'm trying to keep the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) methodology in mind. Right now I have it set up so it will recognize crouching, standing, and flying attacks. Flying attackers run the risk of being knocked out of the sky costing them their attack. There are sweep attacks that do the same to standing attackers (knocking them down and costing them their attack). I have ways of doing multi-damage attacks (say a triple fire ball). I'm working on a system for weaknesses and resistances. There is also a method in place for doing combos taken straight from the SF RPG. I'm also looking on ways of implementing status effects like stunned, frozen, and poisoned.

      I haven't been able to do much testing because it's not all put together yet but I'm liking what I see.

      From the 7th Sea Kickstarter list, and probably a bunch of other places:

      As of April 2, Chaosium, publishers of the award-winning tabletop roleplaying games Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest, and King Arthur Pendragon, has acquired the rights to 7th Sea. I'm joining Chaosium as line editor and will continue to have creative oversight of the game, and will remain a principal author of 7th Sea material going forward. Beyond that, I'll also be writing for other Chaosium game lines.

      This is fantastic. I will trust Chaosium with caring for 7th Sea as it exists, and am super-glad that John Wick has a steady gig again.

      And maybe Chaosium is willing to front a lot of the cost for the 7th Sea Board Game, or make it cheaper to produce for their next attempt. Or maybe it's time to let it go. It's up to them.

      Best of luck, John.

      ZombieGenesis

      Update: Things went a bit tits up in my RL for the last few months stalling the game (along with a few other things). I won't go into it here but for those of you interested in the state of the game you can log in and I've left a BBPost explaining things. You should also see me on more often now that things are stabilizing in my life. Thanks for understanding.

      I have a TT group that runs Monsterhearts and we have a blast with it. We run a Vampire Diaries-esque type game and it works really well. I was dubious given how lite the system is but I'm a fan.
