I went to a random cosmetology school to get my hair cut a couple weeks ago. They had massage chairs I could lounge in while I got my hair shampooed. It was a revelation. I will be doing this again.

The Unicorn Frappucino is mango-based with a sweet-and-sour syrup and sweet and sour dust on top of the whipped cream. I am pleased to report that it is tasty! And apparently only available for five days.

I'm very glad I looked that thing up online before buying, because I would have been Displeased if I hadn't known beforehand that the unicorn was caffeine-free.

Taking a younger friend to a Korean BBQ place for the first time and informing them that they have to pour my Soju with both hands and look away when I am drinking otherwise they'll be breaching ancient rites of Korean restaurant etiquette. I swear if you've never done this you've got to try it. Endlessly entertaining.

Saturday my son makes me proud and on Monday I get the fruits of being a (bush league) patron of the arts.
This is my third crowd-funding backing on Modian (a sort of Chinese Kickstarter but for creative projects only) and my first that's directly related to the arts. So far I've not even been mildly disappointed by the projects I've backed, but this one blew me away with its professional production. (The music is good too but probably not to anybody's tastes here.)

@Pandora Mostly it's random anime characters than I've never heard of. They were also making fun of a recent session at a conference about fanfic that they said didn't even touch on the basics, which I understand, one of my coworkers had been sorting a fanfic zine collection that had been donated recently, so they're particularly invested in the area. Libraries be weird, yo.

For the first time in 18 years I have had two blocks of time where I am the only human in my house. I have been able to get the most essential part of decluttering/purging of unused belongings in huge chunks rather than small progress per month almost done.
I am a (people loving and social) introvert homebody with 4 kids and a work at home spouse (who's been out of town on biz all week). It is so wonderful to finally have my truly-alone-and-at-home energy recharging for the first time in sooooo very long!!
