@ThatOneDude It says 2 but remember all the problems we had hinking with my network before? It's behaving like a double nat even though my apple timecapsule is in bridge. I'm going to reverse it tonight and do the workaround on the modem to make it be the bridge and see if that helps. I may even just order a static ip.

Are a lot of stuff like that, here in Sweden in general norse symbols have been associated with neo-nazism and general nastiness. I've been accused several times of having such thoughts because I have a few pieces of jewelry I wear to daily stuff as well as renactment. Is a bit sad.
Also the teutonic cross being a nazi thing too. bugs me, especially with it being a very very well established symbol in Europe before WW2. Although I understand it's a rebellion biker thing in the US too? I don't know.
Symbols I enjoy but are spoiled.
Confederate flag holds no meaning or signifiance to me at all, being a filthy foreigner.

Weird, I guess I idealize the nordic countries a little, because I would expect someone to ask before suggesting they know what you think and feel. And this is after trying to decide if said symbols in a Swedish bands cover art suggested those associations or not.

Please, please, please, PLEASE someone make a new 'RL Peeves Thread' and stop posting in this one. : |
For my sanity.
Please.

Yes, it was a fairly common symbol in India going back a couple thousand years. But it's also found on ancient Greek coins dating back to the 4th century BC.
The swastika has appeared spontaneously literally around the world. This is probably because it's one of the easiest patterns to make. It shows up in Chinese as the (truly) ancient character for 10,000 (and often used in the context of "infinite" or "eternal"), it shows up in India, it shows up in various places in Africa, it shows up in both North and South America. It's one of the few truly universal emblems.

It's a geometric spiral.

I wish the whole 'you have to love yourself before you can love others' didn't make me feel so bad. I can't even like my friends. I don't think that makes me feel better at all.

Then.... um. Why are they your friends?
-
@Rook I'm pretty sure she means, as per the saying, that since she doesn't like herself, she therefore can't like her friends.
@silentsophia There's levels to that saying beyond the surface which is what it really means. If you want, page me on the game about it. I'm sorry I directed you to RuPaul.

Guys, can we move this to this new thread to spare Cobalt the insanity of getting a notice every time someone posts on this one? Thanks.
-
Can... she seriously not turn off notifications or something? o.O
-
@HelloRaptor No. It's an old thread and broken so if people subscribed to it early on, even if they left the subscription after, or followed it by posting in it, then it turns up as a little red number on the bell. There's a few others that do it as well.
-
So stop posting in it already.
Or face the wrath of Cobaltasaurus.
-
@Misadventure Absolutely. No more posting here.

From one of the occasional TripAdvisor e-mails:
You're in the top 10% !
With 13,075 readers, you're one of the most popular reviewers in Toronto. Keep those great opinions coming.
I haven't reviewed a single place in Toronto. I haven't used or even had TripAdvisor installed on my phone (or anywhere else) since 2013.

@Arkandel Clearly 90% of the reviewers in Toronto do not even exist.

This kind of helpful popup:
