@Scissors He never wanted an adult conversation. He did not want to be told "no". He wanted to argue with me until I agreed to his concept without any changes. I told him what I thought he could tweak so his concept would work - he did not accept that. He went on to attack my players but I was already done when he started arguing.

I don't hesitate to tell people "this game is not for you". I did not know who @ZombieKerouac was when I initially received his application, but if I had known he was Shadow from Arx? I would have banned him for that alone. I don't need to open my game to people I don't find enjoyable, and I don't need to have a conversation with them about it.

Here is the record of my chat convo with him. When he messaged me, I was already aware who he was.

I am not sinister or scary. If you bothered to be an adult and discuss things you might actually realize that. And if you think I am bad? You really may want to give up on game administration since there are far worse people out there. Who do things for fun rather than as reactionary amusement.

You built a game that is intentionally exclusive and puts people into two separate cliques as soon as they hit the game. Townie vs Outsider which in and of itself is prone to cause problems in the long term

You can't seem to discuss things and have an open dialogue with your players which will also only cause issues in the long term.

Hiding behind bans and your co-staffer when you can't get those big girl panties on all the way and be an adult.

I actually had someone ask me when you denied my app the second time given the flimsy excuse for it being rejected if I somehow managed to piss one of you off.

And honestly with you all banning me for nothing last night? It does seem that way. And your general disregard for actually discussing issues.

The question is: Are you and Karma actually adult enough to discuss shit rather than hide behind bans and one another.

On Gray Harbor, his character was Erland and he used the PB Janove Ottesen. So he must've broken from his regular pattern.

Anyone have ideas on how to protect a game from someone THAT determined to "play" where they're not wanted?

Double posting to respond. He does not want to 'play' anywhere. He wants to be obnoxious and play his dollar store Jigsaw game until he thinks that he's "won". What "winning" looks like is unknown to me, but I'm sure he has some kind of trigger where he thinks he has finally gotcha. Or he'll get bored and wander off to go jack off in his mother's basement yet again.

My advice? Don't CARE about it. Play whack-a-troll when he pops up and have fun with it. He's just a grade school level bully. Best thing to do with those is just ignore them.

Oh you must be talking my great friend @ZombieKerouac who did the same exact thing on my game, Gray Harbor.

@saosmash I mean not only is it healthy for that but like - think of how Arx for example would be if there were a few other L&L games that satisfied what some people are looking for. You could have your super hyper political L&L game over there, your "let's make babies" L&L game over here, and Arx right where it is with nobody trying to make Arx ALL THE THINGS because it's not exactly what they're looking for.

It just takes the pressure off of admin, imo.

I agree with @krmbm. I really really really wish there were at least a few more games out there so all the pegs can find the right holes in which to insert themselves into.

Seconding that I'm not at all familiar with this RPG but I looked it up and this would make an amazing MUSH.

It's super extreme under any circumstances to suggest that administrators are racist, or that the game has "wrong racial feels" or whatever just because they don't outright ban or alt-history every single bad thing that anyone ever did in that time period. Like, I wouldn't go around thinking @Seraphim73 or @GirlCalledBlu were racist even if they DID allow Nazis, or racism, or sexism, because omg you can explore these themes on a game without being racist, sexist, and/or a Nazi yourself.

Please please please give people some credit and point stuff out without casting judgment. As a game admin (for a separate game), the idea that I have to go through EVERYBODY'S wiki page on a daily basis and click all their links and make sure they aren't being stupid/racist/whatever is EXHAUSTING.
