But I need the event thing. It's how we organize the insanity that is the LARP I run and make sure that they know game is ON. AUGH FACEBOOK.

Fucking Facebook.
They changed something AGAIN and now shit is missing. Again. Events I'm RSVPed to are gone, and the ability to 'invite all' to an event in a private group is gone.YAY FACEBOOK.

Robotech Minmei yes.
Macross Minmei no. -
RE: NO-GO IPs for MU*posted in Mildly Constructive
I'm weird in that I never liked Robotech as itself as a kid, though I love Macross (I know, the Macross portion of Robotech was the least changed, but it's still weird to me).
It'd be an interesting exercise though, depending on how you ran it. I could see the BSG 'Robotech fleet' of like, colonization as in the later Macross entries working, with an unknown/staff-run enemy, like the Vajra or Protodeviln, working well.

@Ghost
What happened with the kickstarter, out of curiousity? Did it sink completely?
Also, there have been Macross MU*s. They invariably fail due to the niche.@Cupcake
YAAAAAAS. SPARTAS hovertank FTW as well. -

@GangOfDolls
There's also a point of allowance. WW's setting is MADE for the whole 'derivative' thing, as it's an RPG. Settings that are only works of fiction are not. They also have only primarily, recently, went after people posting/using the actual IP (like the subnet posting entire swathes of material on a website, or the Bloodlines remake Project Vaulderie) and infringing on that, which they HAVE to defend at that point, lest they have no leg to stand on when @Thenomain writes 'Planet of Cloudy Grayness'. -

Matrix MUSH
Oh, is that what happened to it? I thought it just failed because the Matrix movies went WAAAAAAAY left field.
Game of Thrones is technically supposed to be verboten.
Disney properties (primarily in the days of Lion King MUCKs, though that was likely less the property and more... the content...)

RE: Generic sci fi game.posted in Mildly Constructive
The concept of a space game sounds interesting, and the idea of the colony ship would be cool. Take a page from perhaps Stargate Universe, with necessary plot/stops to help fix issues with the colony ship, perhaps. Or the colony fleets of Macross Plus/Frontier/Delta that are actively a mobile force looking for a world out there in the vastness with only a rough pre-planned direction.

@Cupcake
It went everywhere. They went to Ireland, Egypt, Israel, Mesopotamia, all kinds of places. The Roman army was a big deal in later seasons of Xena, near the end. -

You're probably thinking about Kingdom Hospital. -

True dat. All I can ever find is the Wintergreen Life Savers, though Aldi has some wintergreen boxed mints too. -
RE: RL things I loveposted in Tastes Less Game'y
@WTFE
I meant 'made things even worse' in the scenario of fan backlash. The OPP forum and RPG.net exploded over this. -
RE: RL things I loveposted in Tastes Less Game'y
@Auspice
Which is good, because Martin isn't presenting the most... fan-friendly face forward. Like, there's active arrangement of a WW boycott. -
RE: RL things I loveposted in Tastes Less Game'y
@Auspice
Cool. And also congrats! I am a fucking heel for not putting that in the original post. I was just a little surprised, considering their blog posts were in full support of Zak and had essentially said 'we researched and found no provable incidents and evidence of stuff'. Which really made things even worse.Anyway. Super awesome for you.
It makes me kinda want to finish up my profile and send it over, since I really kinda... don't want to deal with OPP in that same manner. -
RE: Posting Ads on Gamesposted in Mildly Constructive
I've never understood the vehemence against posting ads or requiring an ad trade. Sure, an ad trade is just good form. But sometimes to get word of mouth, you need people. An ad on a game, especially of the same genre, is the easiest way to get people. I get word of mouth and such but you need something going to HAVE decent word of mouth.

@Auspice
Actual WW or OPP is having you send over writing? Because WW has been fully in support of Zak's hiring and has plans to have him working on Vampire 5e. If actual WW, your response represents a big spin from what they had posted prior. -
RE: General Video Game Threadposted in Other Games
Is anyone else watching the development of the not-WoD MMO, Vampire's Kiss? While the graphics aren't the best, it looks like it'll be our most proper not-WoD MMO. It's in pre-alpha, but so far they seem to have their heads on straight.
