@auspice Death Punch would do a cover of Nickelback's songs, changing some of the lyrics to insert their band's name.
Nickelback would win because the new, shittier version would cause a new appreciation for how much worse Nickelback could have been.
@arkandel Do you want me to fight you, or do you want me to cover the fights of other people and just change a few lyrics to be self-referential?
Spotify. Fuck you, Spotify. If I wanted to hear offensive music I would queue it up.
If you throw Steel Panther on my fucking metal playlist one more time I'm going to cancel my premium account.
P.S. - I understand you are contractually obligated to make Five Finger Death Punch every other song as well, but please. It's hard to downvote them all in advance.
@insomnia Thank you for posting that. I was unaware. I have multiple games on the list of those who used/still use Red Shell and am uninstalling all of them.
Fuck spyware.
@thenomain They have shown a disregard for canon as far back as Fallout 3. Mass market bullshit that people will gobble up. Fans will buy it because we buy anything Fallout. Casuals will buy it because it is a big budget game. Soon Supermutants will be boning and making baby supermutants because lolfuckyourcanonthatswhy.
The 'we' thing is garbage they teach you in basic management classes in college. Well, shitty colleges. It is supposed to make your employees feel more connected to you or something.
I say shitty colleges, because that's what they tried teaching me in my management classes in college. And it's terrible.
My response to 'we' would be the trolling described above by @Ifrit.
@auspice said in RL things I love:
Ghost BC will be on tour here in Austin in November.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, when I'll have money and be able to get one.
And I just bought my ticket. Anyone else in the Austin area want to carpool with us?
@bobotron It's wide open right now. ICly, there aren't many vampires in the city.
The plots I've seen are primarily self-contained within the vampire sphere and you are incentivized for your involvement through 'Coins' which can be used for political purposes.
So there's plenty of incentive, I'd say, and multiple angles to come at the political stuff from.
Just as a reminder, Vampire is still open on San Francisco. It has a strong plot so far with a solid base and room for players to step in and make the game their own.
I advise players who might be interested in politics/mystery/intrigue to give it a shot. The game doesn't seem to have any pillow fights or cuddle-piles in the vampire sphere... that I know of.
They have said they plan to re-open the spheres once they get a handle on things, if I recall.
I... have seen things in my life. Very, very dark twisted little corners of fandom and the like.
But nothing quite on the scale described in that video. Christ. I need a shower after seeing that.
I understand why people go Furry/Otherkin. Escapism. Hell, most of the time I feel the same way. I'd love to be delusional enough to actually run with it but I am afflicted by a rather crashing sanity.
Blood Cauldron looks underpowered, as well, but it allows you to sustain in fights much better than its flashier cousins.
@auspice I haven't killed any citizens. It's still not hard, just time consuming. You dodge dodge dodge hit.
And the easiest way to stay relevant in combat is to raise your endurance and keep your weapons upgraded.
I bought Vampyr. I am not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I wish I could refund it but I went over the 2 hour limit.
The idea of 'destroying relationships you've forged for XP' is interesting, but it falls flat in that literally all you can raise is combat. Nothing you learn can be used outside of combat and combat... is ridiculously easy. It's just a matter of pattern recognition on a simpler scale than Dark Souls.
Except for the odd glitches that mean you get hit even when you shouldn't. Which also irked me.
All my vitriol for James aside, I think he should land in LA. Even if they don't win they can afford to build a team for him. One last hurrah before he's too old to play at the same level.
@ganymede Maybe he can squeeze onto the Warriors. Gotta get those rings.
@coin Different strokes.
That said, I'm not playing on any game that has Demon: The Descent but I wish this project all the best. It looks like a much more interesting concept than 'Game number 429232 based in small town Maine'.
@taika Yeah, I had to deal with AR-15 armed white nationalists marching down the street outside my job site last year. They kept throwing hissy fits when I told them they couldn't enter the building.
I can't stand people like that. Because they're inferior pieces of shit, they have to make up reasons to feel 'better' than others in spite of their own many faults.
Knowing Lebron, he probably wants to go to the Warriors.
He's gotta chase the easiest ring possible after all.
