      This week, I have:

      lost 1 job (of two)
      broken 1 paper shredder
driven 1 parent to the ER
stained my second favorite shirt with coffee
spilled approximately 3 pounds of goddamned paper discovery all over the floor of an elevator
had a parent admitted to the hospital with the pneumonia (on her second trip to the ER of the week)
may have to cancel a vacation i was really looking forward to due to above-mentioned

aaaand i just broke my motherfucking fingernail. Can I be done now please?

Clearly you allowed your contract with the devil to lapse. Time to re-up! ❤

    • RE: Changeling and Touchstones

From what I gather of this thread on the OP Forums:

Clarity works like Health instead of Integrity in how it's tracked. Your Clarity track is equal to your Composure + Wits, and your first Touchstone goes at Composure + 1 from the left with extra's going to the right.

On the sheet, for space I guess, the Touchstone section is placed vertically. In this case up is left, and down is right.

So if you have Composure 3/Wits 3 and bought two extra Touchstones:

      You have 6 Clarity boxes.

Ignore 7 - 11 on the Touchstone list.

Your first Touchstone goes on the 3 spot (Composure + 1 = 4, so it's the fourth slot down), the second on the 2 spot, and the third on the 1 spot.

If you take 4 severe Clarity damage, your first Touchstone becomes detached until you can heal the damage.

If you buy Composure 4, stop ignoring the 7 slot, but it remains blank. It just means it takes 5 severe Clarity damage before you detach on.

If you buy Wits 4 instead, shift everyone up one, so the 7 slot matters now, but your first Touchstones moves to 4, and you now have a blank spot at 1 (which you could fill with another Touchstone). 4 severe Clarity damage with still detach your first one.

So, the more Composure you have, the more severe Clarity damage you can take before Touchstones become threatened. The more Wits you have, the more Touchstones you can manage at once.

      • "IF THAT BEEPS ONE MORE TIME-" (I never get to the threat. Apparently the tone is enough that it doesn't beep again. This is good because I'm usually too addled to come up with one.)

And it did. So I took the shotgun off the wall and I fired two warning shots. Into his head.

      He had it comin'.

On Fate's Harvest, we have code that essentially allows you, the player, to @create an object and then use the Pose Logger command to turn it into a Pose Logger. You turn it on, it listens to the room, when you're done, you turn it off, then it can output the code in WikiMedia template format.

So sorry for the late reply on this one, I somehow didn't even see it, but yeah, that is exactly what I was looking for. The one that creates the log objects that you can just drop and then run the commands on.

I was at the point of tears when it was pointed out to me that my event started without me. (I cannot seem to get the 24 hour clock + time zone differences right for some reason.)

But I logged on and another character who had zero idea why I was holding the event held down the fort for me, and everyone was so nice OOCly about my being 1.5 hours late to my own event.

So much gratitude. So. Much. Gratitude.

Daylight savings time happened recently in (some parts but not all of) the US. You are far from the only person right now struggling to figure out what the hell time it is at any given place. Don't even sweat that.

The wiki has been open to players for a minute now, we just maybe forgot to make an update about that. <.<

You're probably better off. An attorney who cannot keep track of his own cases does not deserve assistance of any kind. That attorney needs to take fewer cases and learn to handle his own docket.

I use my admin assistant for the important things: (1) making sure my documents gets filed into the electronic storage system; (2) fielding calls so I don't get disturbed; and (3) making sure my shit looks and sounds right. Everything else is on me, and I make that very clear to her.

I was not at all broken up about it, given that it paid a few pennies more than minimum wage and had no benefits.

      Welp.

Shit head boss wins. Fired for reasons of "not a good team player." I had a coworker who had outright stated I was the only reason he was still at that job. I documented the hell out of shit. I communicated thoroughly. I got along with everyone.

But my boss constantly had vague shit about me not getting along with people. Never anything concrete. Never any actual situations. Just vague handwavium.

And I got fired for it.

I once got fired from a paralegal position because:

      1. I was scheduled to be off a day for a school event.
      2. The attorney had court that day, and the situation was supposed to be resolved.
      3. The attorney did not resolve the situation and the case got continued.
      4. The attorney did not give me any paperwork related to this, or give me any indication that the case was anything but resolved.
      5. The attorney did not put the new date on the calendar.
      6. The attorney was on vacation when the new day rolled around, so nobody was there to argue it.
      7. I got fired for not putting a case date on the calendar when I could have had literally no way of knowing that the case was even still open, since our county does not use the statewise case tracking system.

      Sometimes, asshole bosses win.

Something I have found myself missing from Potato:

      Text-to-Mux formatter.

And along those lines, the mail tool that didn't require me to remember the various @Mail commands to send a mail.

Not a dealbreaker by any means, but just nice things for the future.

My partner of going on 15 years has cystic fibrosis. As does his brother. It is a terrible disease that does terrible things to the body. While my partner has been very, very lucky and is still in decent health, his brother and many of his friends are not.

Even of you have very little interest in Pathfinder, every cent that goes to research helps to create new medicines and gene therapies, which puts us one step closer to finding a cure.

Please consider donating even a small amount, if you can.
