Lots of talking! Is this game gonna happen?! Or are we just babbling here?!
What can I do to help make this game happen?

Is the game actually online? I can't seem to connect to the IP listed on the wiki.
@TNP I was hoping a structured environment (devoid of any creative writing trappings) might help lead him in that direction.
@Chet As an English professor, I would recommend--seriously, and without intentional disdain/scorn--that you take a course in technical or professional writing if you can. You may find it extremely helpful for developing clearer, more straightforward writing that's attentive of audience expectations.
I just found out there was a short-lived Metabarons/Jodoverse RPG using the WEG d6 system.
Does anyone have any experience with this system?
Would the universe be a worthwhile space opera-style theme that's at least slightly less grimdark than, say, 40k?

Staff has to be willing to get the RP ball rolling, not just to build a game and expect people to show up and breathe life into it on their own. And that means potentially running multiple +events in the first few weeks (maybe months) of your game until people are hooked enough to start doing it on their own.
I think this is the real issue, 100%. Even after players start running their own events, staff should continue doing this and breathing life into a changing world.
@Misadventure I know people hate Fate, and this is technically out of the Victorian date range, but: Young Centurions is early 1910s! http://www.evilhat.com/home/young-centurions/
I am potentially interested in being involved in this project.
@Runescryer The superhero rules for Venture City are available in the Fate SRD: https://fate-srd.com/venture-city/making-your-character-and-powers
@JinShei Yes, but its default is the DFRPG set, which makes a lot of the CG syntax backwards to work (e.g., stunts costing -X to reduce the overall refresh). It is, however, the best available code package.
@JinShei I don't see Fate as particularly gritty but, given my user name, it remains omnipresent in my mind.
(I also wish there were a more up-to-date version of Fate code to plug and play, but that's a different topic altogether.)
@Thenomain There was absolutely a point where I thought about making a Fables game that ran on Fate Core ... at which point I realized no one would want to check it out and so shelved that idea.
Well over a decade ago, at some supers MU* I can't recall specifically, there was a dude whose character was named MAC LAW, and he was a sentient truck. Not a transformer, just a sentient truck. He was hilarious and the concept worked fantastically with the crowd of people playing as Nextwave. I loved every second that guy was in a scene.
While it's all effectively freeform, system-wise, United Heroes has been really fun over the past few weeks. Staff appears to be super supportive all the crazy comic plots/ideas that I've thrown their way, so long as I can articulate how those ideas facilitate more (and more inclusive) RP. The playerbase also seems, on the whole, to really want to roll with whatever scene ideas emerge and contribute substantively to them.
@ThatGuyThere Yeah, as soon as Marvel employees' one steadfast comment was "it's not mind control!" everyone unanimously realized it would have to be ludicrous alternate reality crap, and the Cosmic Cube is definitely the path of least resistance for a Cap comic to deal with alternate realities.
@SG Short answer: kind of.
SPOILERS?:
A sentient Cosmic Cube was involved.
As noted, it's about to kick off way more fully in the next few weeks.
@ZombieGenesis As someone who's played a bit of but not run Savage Worlds, what are the barriers for new players you're identifying with that system?
@surreality There is some info on the Github site for Volund's MUSH code suite:
Anyone played enough Shadow of the Demon Lord to speak to its potential utility here?
