Take note of the people who give real, thought-out responses. Then note the people who go 'ZOMG you're so wrong why are you so wrong how dare you start this subject'. The latter category probably shames out of the enjoyment they get from putting others down, the secret thrill of being an asshole. The former, probably somewhat out of the hopes that behavior will be adjusted if named. Somewhat.

RE: Pretendy Fun Time Games
You know, I've found it's very hard to know when someone is actually being a dick to you, versus when you're making a mountain out of a molehill. Anyone else have this issue? Not too many people come right out and say "Oh yeah, I'm doing x because I just don't like you" versus "I'm doing x because I don't think it's a big deal". Sometimes, the simple act of asking which of these two it is or expressing how you feel 'Hey, when you do this, I feel x' is met with the 'chill out it's just a game' spiel.
Where do you draw the line?

RE: RL things I love
Mother's Day. Much love to all the moms out there making the world a better place for their kids, one day at a time. You rock.

RE: Finding roleplay
Does anyone ever feel like Carrie at the prom when asking for RP on the public channels?

When things go wrong (or at least really unexpected) and that's really why the scene and/or aftermath turns out to be memorable and awesome.
Certain players have a flare for that. I was in a scene recently where my character was supposed to have a simple thumb war with another character, and it ended up in a full-on brawl in which we both came away winners (I got something my char wanted, he created several scenes from the encounter which is what he wanted). Great times!

MU Things I Love
We have a 'RL Things I Love' and a 'RL Anger' thread to balance it out. We have a "Random Bitching" thread to discuss what we hate about MUing (all 201 pages of it) so let's have a "MU Things I Love" thread to make things even. I'll start!
MU Thing I Love: When someone does their damndest to make your character unplayable/make it unenjoyable for you to play your character, BUT you still play your character and still LOVE playing your character, and others still play with you and love your character, too.
TAKE THAT!
Vindictive happiness, rising.
What makes YOU go 'yay' when MUing?

@ThatGuyThere Sisters from different whiskers?

RE: Where do younger folks RP these days?
@Arkandel As far as I know. I haven't been on in awhile. Once was sufficient to horrify my delicate sensibilities.

This title makes it sound like you're an old man in a van handing out "candy", looking for the best school to park outside.
That said, I second the Second Life recommendation. Lots of kids there. With their sex dungeons and their naked worlds.

RE: The Realms Adventurous Revival
It's nuts. I saw some guy whose alt was brother to the girl his other alt ended up marrying. I think 3 is a decent rule for a game that small.

RE: The Realms Adventurous Revival
That sums it up quite nicely. The amount of alts some people have is ridiculous. You want to play with someone else? Tough. This person is EVERYONE!

I know Cirno tried to log back in under 'Jane' and got summarily booted again.

RE: Downvotes
I, for one, will still downvote the shit out of posts I think are BS.
