Certain players have a flare for that. I was in a scene recently where my character was supposed to have a simple thumb war with another character, and it ended up in a full-on brawl in which we both came away winners (I got something my char wanted, he created several scenes from the encounter which is what he wanted). Great times!

MU Thing I Love: When someone does their damndest to make your character unplayable/make it unenjoyable for you to play your character, BUT you still play your character and still LOVE playing your character, and others still play with you and love your character, too.

@Arkandel As far as I know. I haven't been on in awhile. Once was sufficient to horrify my delicate sensibilities.

This title makes it sound like you're an old man in a van handing out "candy", looking for the best school to park outside.

That said, I second the Second Life recommendation. Lots of kids there. With their sex dungeons and their naked worlds.

It's nuts. I saw some guy whose alt was brother to the girl his other alt ended up marrying. I think 3 is a decent rule for a game that small.

That sums it up quite nicely. The amount of alts some people have is ridiculous. You want to play with someone else? Tough. This person is EVERYONE!

@Arkandel I didn't say there was a problem for anyone else, just that it weirds me out personally. It really does. And can more often lead to lines blurring. As for your first point re: people who have paired up more than once vs RL couples; it's completely different on so many levels. One is an online relationship, the other is a relationship that (more often than not) includes far more intimacy and feelings and the general tendency to want to please the other person because sex (and other stuff not nearly so exciting)!

Disclaimer: playing with OOC couples who are also IC couples weirds me out.

That said, this seems especially prominent when there are couples RP'ing together, creating multiple alts who also RP together. I've seen the line blurred more often than a cop at Timmy's. Don't think there's really anything you can do about it except avoid if shit gets real.
