I can't go to Ohio, because I am on one side of the Hatfield/McCoy blood feud, but I don't know WHICH side, so I'll get stabbed for no good reason.

Not that I've seen. If the FFG SW devs stop having such a hate-on of the prequels, there might be some stuff released that can be used for it. The issue, as always, will fall to canonocity.

It's like the parody directors who tell you all sorts of background as motivation for the 5-second shot of you eating cheerios.

Anything in the Cosmere, actually, could be neat. Especially if you crossover. But we have to wait for all of it to be defined. At present, we've seen, what... three of the worlds within it?

Flying sims/space systems are awful. Just let people pose and give them a good combat system with options.

Flying sims give me shit to do when I'm bored, but too exhausted from work to actually RP. A mindless sort of grind to advance the character in some small way, but nothing TAXING.
Eclipse Phase, by no means, would require it to travel places, because Farcasting is commonplace. But some folks might want to do trader bullshit (raises a hand), and fly boats places in a space cowboy fashion.

    • RE: Star Wars: AoA Legends KOTOR RP

Like I said, app in with 6 friends, get a Marauder. 7 and get your (groups) very own Corellian Corvette!

The problem, re: cybernetics, lies in... well... cybernetics. Stat boosts I could care less about. But with the way combat works in DSS? Sort of require, at minimum, a coded weapon to +equip for your taser fists, or always +equipped armor if you want to go for the full cyberpunk/General Grievous feel, with CHROME BEING COOLER THAN FLESH. A Lobot-style wireless router for slicing? Fine, hand-wave that (oh wait, it's not on your +sheet, like a droid needs a vocorder on their +sheet to even speak, so you don't really have it, then, do you?)

But Charobj was nuked, so whatevs.

I also concur with Eclipse Phase (perhaps extra hard, with 2e coming out. Details as my Kickstarter stuff trickles in).

      But.

As a space game, the NERD in me wants some sort of flying sim built in, which everyone else hates. And so I weep.

Android would be a neat Cyberpunk setting.

Sense8 for round-the-world shenanigans, but your RP group is still close-knit. Could be tricksy, though, as we only have a limited view of their world.

Obligatory L5R plug I forget if I've done already in this thread.

I was going more for nightmarishly convoluted, but we can go oppressive, too. Since you are obstructing PC agency to buy a plane ticket on their own and just fly from not-Dallas to not-New York.

Except you have said there are NPCs of another sphere in the city. Territory issues will happen anyway.

      B) Because that's what we want. Stupidly honest, but yeah I said it.

Sounds ridiculously Kafkaesque. Since we're being stupidly honest.

If there are NPC (sphere 1) in PC (Sphere 2)'s city... WHY NOT JUST ALLOW PC (sphere 1) IN THE CITY? This is making a complicated extra step.

Else a player can be friendly with the NPCs of a sphere, but never the PCs of a sphere, until season finale/crossover special.

During this season finale crossover, the werewolves will murderface the vampires, because they have had zero interaction with any of them, so they have built no trust and the mages will slip in and drain the caern of it's power and teleport out after putting up a giant 'werewolves are real, invest in silver today!' billboard.

They also coded MCM's reboot and some other stuff I forget off the top of my head. My biggest issue is that it's mostly penn, so I must + for channels, and cannot addcom my own aliases for things.

They're not going to be specifically hanging around the sept, though. Unless you count the entire city of NYC a sept, rather than central park, as a quick reference. Keep the sept hidden, and murder them if they enter. Having a rage-hate-on for every other sphere is a fun thing for tabletop or single-sphere game.
