My reaction was mostly 'I dont care if you have some twu luv bond with these dragons, invent a fucking saddle.'
Exactly what Kit Harrington is thinking before doing more dragon riding film shots.

Spoiler Alert: The image of Cap's WWII helmet on the shelf is next to some Cable graphic novel collections. Its proof, Cable is Thanos, that's why Josh played them both. The merger just completes the true storyline.

See, they started putting flammable thinner in the paint, this is what happens when you try to skimp like that.
And someone said: Repaint, and Thin no More.

Or (double post sorry)
Rey: I think I hear something up ahead
Palpatine feint: I'm not dead yet ...
Holy Grail scene ensues, with Kylo taking money to clobber the nearly dead Palpatine over the head.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Arkandel I completely concur, a villain should have been built up over more movie arc. And its Star Wars, its villain should have more play up over the entire trilogy. Hints in the first, some big reveal in the second, and confrontation in the third.
I'm not saying its a good idea for the plot, especially if only played up in the third movie because it will waste time tying the story together over other plot development. Like, Finn's lineage (Maz noticed something in his eyes, she didn't see anything in Rey which goes with her parents were bums).
Only a guess, but like Palpatine and clones, I remember hearing that theory in the early 80s even before it went into the comics, so its not a surprise. Though overall, seems a little less continuity in this trilogy then in others, no telling what will really come out in the end until we see it.

Clone; Dark Empire storyline in the comics. It ties Kylo to his grandfather, he gets to defeat Palpatine for good, ending the cloning process. Helps with the name, Rise of Skywalker, he gets the tie to his lineage, ends up good'ish.

I've not read any reviews, but its not Guillermo so I felt good enough waiting for Netflix on this Hellboy.

Hey, we can be both. I mean, when LARPing came around we had to come out of our basements and force ourselves on the rest of the world...
In fairness, funny dressed people in the park was trail blazed by SCA I think; or prior to SCA, maybe Thespians did it.

@Ghost .....try seeing a 70-something Roger Daltrey/Pete Townsend sing "My Generation" live. At least Townsend has the grace and perspective to burst out laughing about the "hope I die before I get old" line.
Heh, how's that, when they stutter 'g-g-g-g-gggg-generation' its actually stuttering? (Kidding)

RE: Concerts & Goth Stuff
@Ghost I remember in the rather early 80s one of the local channels did a show with some video and would interview bands. I want to say 85 or 86 they had Chili Peppers or something on. Can't say I'm a fan of much of their recordings but as a live touring band trying to get going with a label, they were good (like Beastie Boys before hip hop, but I do like the change too)

@Lotherio The Vandals are great. Man, almost all of that Epitaph Records new wave punk pre Blink 182 era stuff is solid. Rancid, Nofx, Bad Religion, Offspring...
That was a good era of music.
I was trying not to get into the topic here or on other thread for fear of feeling old. I remember NoFx at the Capital before it closed downtown. I remember skipping to Lincoln in the 90s to catch old Fear, still touring in the 90s. Why yes Fear, I will have a Beer with Fear.

RE: Concerts & Goth Stuff
@Aria I was being a goof, sorry about that, I figured you meant 80s Vandals. The other ones are the British Vandals (70s punk with Ali Moyet on vocals). But they might be more obscure, in the vein of Beastie Boys starting as a punk/thrash outfit before busting rhymes.

Well, computers these days aren't big enough to do this anymore:
So, have to mod something, keyboard is the last component big enough to try and do something with?

What? The pretty girl I like also enjoys X-Men comics? I will woo her by testing her width of knowledge and then proving to her that I'm more of a superfan! She will be overcome by sexual attraction to my dominance that SHE WILL BE MIIIINE.
As this is the Real World Peeve thread and a lot of fellow fans/nerds/etc. do this among their friends, in the middle of movies ... a PSA, please stop. We don't care if the dagger Clint Barton used when his arrows ran out was from issue 12 of secret avengers which foreshadows that Ronin, the original owner of the dagger, would be involved and you're predicted this will relate to Kree/Skrull stuff in later movies. Honestly, whether a fellow nerdist knew what you're poining out or not, or the person next to you is a new fan to the movie-verses, we don't need to listen to you talking over five minutes of movie time to impress your friends or some girl or boy or whatever you think you're impressing.
My daughter is old enough to enjoy easter eggs and surprises and then asks for confirmation on what she sees sometimes but I remind her to ask after the movie - and we'll gladly talk about it after the movie over a burger or ice cream or something. She's learning not to talk about this stuff during movies, you the adult should know this by now too.

RE: Random links
@Arkandel Check out the Himbas of Namibia, who confuse blue into green (and inversely we confuse a form of yellow they have into green on our spectrum).
Color is considered a cultural learning experience. Check out more on color theory. Its all energy/light from the sun in different wave lengths, as it reflects off other surface that alter the wavelengths.
Like honestly, is the way you see red the same as the way I see it, it might be the equivalent of blue in your mind for how I perceive it in mine.

RE: Dice/+check
I would also recommend going to MUSH - mush.pennmush.org:4201
The experts are all there, still actively developing to their hearts content. I'm sure Mike (the guy still developing pennmush) could whip up an @assert liketly split that would allow any undetermined length string of dice math and bonuses. I'm too told to fathom @assert/@break but it sort of makes sense every time they tell me to use that instead of switch.
If you're unfamiliar, there are other social mu's out there where the folks still developing the codebases still haunt, a few devoted to the specific codebase, but others where you can find the folks in the know-how; Puggy, Brazil, RhostMu Dev, PennMush are the ones I'd look at. This is a great place to ask and share knowledge, but you still get the live answer and can easily ask for more clarification on the mu's.
ETA: To clean up my failure to proof read, as I always do.
