@auspice It reminds me of the surgeon that I told UP FRONT that I needed morphine. It's in my allergies that derivatives do not work/make it worse for me. Dilaudid is on the list that does not work for me (along with Vicodin, etc etc)

I wake up from what was supposed to be an outpatient laparoscopic surgery, to find I have been cut open in a way that is no longer 'the way', and in SCREAMING pain. As in, I'm not even out of the operating theater yet, pain, as they're moving me. Why? Because they gave me Dilaudid. Which also makes me ITCH. It took my SO 2 days to get him to change it. My arms were covered in scratches. But I am apparently hysterical on it, because I'm completely out of my mind.

This made me think of visiting my boyfriend at State College, PA (yeeears ago) and it was an Eagles game day - the drunk frat boys screaming E - A- G- E- S - EAGLES EAGLES EAGLES.

And every time they were out on their balcony screaming and misspelling it, I couldn't stop laughing.

I mean Ares is nice because the web portal makes it super easy to take part. Not to mention I can have multiple scenes going at once, especially if some of them are slow.

I think Staffers need to play without bias, but people need to play WITH Staff without bias, as well.

I think a lot of players need to remember Staffers are people with jobs, and other things that happen.

Finally cleared all the tests - and I start a glorious new job on Monday, that's actually going to pay me worth a damn. I am so excited, especially since I can wear non-dressy footwear. (It's impossible for me to find dress shoes that don't kill my joints after a couple hours.)

My roommates are taking me for birthday goodness this weekend, despite the fact they're on some insane diet, so I can have the indulgent bad for me stuff that I've been trying to avoid (because it seems wrong to tempt them).

There will be cake and wine, and I refuse to feel bad about it!

I dropped my license on Monday. I knew, the moment I realized it was missing, that I had dropped it in the offices of the doctor I had been at (Or in the diabetic educator, after I was told No, you're a type 1 like you've been trying to tell us for NINE YEARS). I called and asked if they would look. Got a call back "Nope, not here!" I gave it another couple days, and then ordered a replacement. Today, got a call. "Oh hey, your license was in my office after all!" WTactualF, you asshats.

@Wolfs Except I think Cole IS one of the owners of Halo corp, and was at one point, the only acting owner of it. He may not have Founded it, but neither did Bruce Wayne, etc etc. So I mean, if someone bought into a corporation enough to be one of the owners, shouldn't they at least be able to claim access to it? I don't think ShelBeast was saying it was all his to play with, just have access to some of the toys that Cole uses in Canon? (I could be wrong).

It seems a little skewed, if this is the case.

Having some stupid quirk that makes cilantro taste like soap, and everyone around me talks about how good it is. And then finding it is in my peanut sauce enough to ruin it. Blech.

@Wretched This is me with Gladiator. I have never, ever made it through that movie. I've passed out, gotten sick, had the power go out, and gotten into a fight with the guy I was watching it with, so I left.

Happened to me and a bunch of people I play with across a bunch of different games. We all got invited to a "Baymax" server by people we knew in the hobby.

I looked at the 'verify' request and went' "Nope." Messaged my friend who invited me, telling him I wasn't doing that, and he was like "OMG I got hacked!"

And he wasn't alone.

When you've had a couple crappy, stressful days, and your housemate offers you shrimp scampi pasta so you don't have to cook. It's the little things, most days.

@hobos I mean we don't have an ongoing thread here, trying to diagnose someone we don't like with various mental issues, and we (as far as I know, I'm not staff or anything) haven't chased someone down to their Reddit/FB/etc accounts to message them and talk shit?

So I guess that's why I have no desire to go over to that 'other' place. People here are just being chill and talking about the things they like about how things are now. I don't think anyone said we were better. Just that there's less vitriol.
