I really want to invoke Godwin's Law, but it's been done to death at this point. But I feel like this is how fascism starts.

I think the most crushing thing was this morning I got a text from my grandmother, telling me she was ready to pass on because she didn't want to consider the idea of having to live through it twice in one lifetime.

I think the issue is that a lot of other mods that alter ingame assets within cities don't work with Open Cities(for whatever reason, I couldn't say why). Why that is, I have no idea, but I've read over plenty of mod descriptions that say 'Does not work with Open Cities' or 'Not compatible with Open Cities'.

Hate, bigotry, racism, and sexism has won. It's like waking up from a nightmare that actually ended up being a reality. Now it's okay to be hateful in public because now we have a president that is setting the example.

      If you're black, you're fucked.
      If you're muslim, you're fucked.
If you're LGBT, you're super fucked with Pence as VP.
      If you're hispanic, you're fucked.
      If you're a woman, you're probably fucked.

GOP now controls the majority in the house and senate. The country is now being controlled by the ultra super christrian far-right that we can trace it's humble beginnings all the way back to Regan. Anything good the last eight years will be stripped away in an effort to make this more like the 'wholesome and good' of the 50s. It's like watching the beginning of Fallout except the almost laughable idea that it's actually happening.

My fiance was literally looking at Canadian websites today to see if her job field was hiring in Canada. I looked at her, asking her if she's doing so as a joke as a joke or not. She said she had no illusions that being a woman in America is going to suck for at least the next four years. I was surprised by that, mostly because so many people often joke or claim they're moving to Canada, but she was actually looking into it seriously.

The world seems grey today. I don't whether to laugh or be afraid. It's like we just had one-up Britain after Brexit, like a 'hold my beer' moment.

I don't know anymore. The angry person in me would hope for a quick impeachment or retelling of Dallas 1963 but...

I ran out of things to say. I'm just at a loss.

I'd like to do Open Cities of Skyrim, but it screws with so many other mods that I just don't see the need for it.

I mean, in theory it's a great idea, but after reading commentary from other modders about it, it was just something that the game isn't supposed to do and it screws with too many things.

It's on console and I debated but...I don't mind the ten second load time to get into cities.

Although if you want to get hardcore, I started using the No Fast-travel mod.

Does watching election shit tonight count as anger?

Or maybe it's anger replacing fear.

I need to go back to Skyrim.

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - because it fixes a lot of shit the devs couldn't be bothered to fix.

Apocalypse: Magic of Skyrim - Adds a lot(155 I think)new spells that're real handy if you're don't the mage type

Ordinator: Perks of Skyrim - fuckton of new perks that allow you a myriad of different play styles

Rich Merchants of Skyrim - Because merchants only having a couple hundred gold is annoying. Every merchant now has 10,000 gold to sell stuff

Essential Followers - Self explainatory. Followers don't die.

Rebalanced Loot Level Lists - Because killing dragons is now worth something beyond a Dragon Soul

Unlimited Rings and Amulets - Because why limit yourself to wearing just one ring when you can wear TEN OF THEM

Ars Metallica - Retools the Smithing system so you can break down weapons/armor you don't care about into metal. Also gives you XP for doing smelting, leatherworking, etc. It's really handy and makes the smithing system what it should've been.

Wet and Cold/Vivid Weather is purely for immersons sake. Actually you gives you better weather effects. And realistic night lighting.

Conan Age of Hyboria is really really fun. Got it's own quest and everything, but it'snot for the feint of heart. It's hard and it will kick your ass unless you're a high level. But the stuff you get out of it is totally worth it.

Most of the stuff on my list is pretty fun, I'd suggest any of them to a player. The ones I list here are just the ones I couldn't play the game without because they're some of my favorites that just make the game better.

    • RE: Skyrim Special Edition (also, Mods!)

What mods am I using? Holy shit, that's gonna be a long list. But let's go. Note: I don't use all of these at once. I can, but there are some I'm probably going to get rid of.

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch(a must have)
Live Another Life - Alternate Start(really useful if you hate the long vanilla start)
      Cutting Room Floor
      Rich Merchants of Skyrim
Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim Overhaul(highly recommend)
Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim Overhaul(highly recommend)
Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim Overhaul(highly recommend)
      Compatability Patch for Ordinator/Apocalypse
      Rebalanced Loot Level Lists
      Relationship Dialouge Overhaul for Followers
Essential Followers(recommend so you don't accidently kill your follower)
      Black Mage Armor SE
      Unlimited Rings and Amulets
YOU DON'T KNOW ME - No NPC Greetings(which I love)
      Triss and Yennefer Armor
      Geralt Armor
      Campfire
      Frostfall
      Wet and Cold
      Vivid Weather
      Ars Metallica(highly recommend)
      Reflection - Level Up Messages
      Marco's Integrated Level Lists
      Convenient Crossbows
      Merchant Death Prevention
      Longer Magelight and Candlelight
      Lanterns of Skyrim
Conan - Age of Hyborian(really really good)
      Realistic Conversations
      KS Hairdos Lite
      Cheat Room
      Sheogorath's Cheat Spell
      Sofia - Fan-Voiced Follower
Corvo Armor and Weapon from Dishonored
      Increased Follower Limit
      College of Winterhold Overhaul
      Valiant Nord Bow
Immersion Indigestion(everyone farts in combat and it's funny as hell)

Okay, I think that's all of them. Or well, the one's worth mentioning. Most of my mods tends to be more focused on immersion stuff. I was doing Wildcat + More Populated Forts/Dungeons, but man, I kept getting my ass kicked(read: swarmed) because Wildcat is not kind with the way it sets up it's AI(it's a lot smarter in fighting).

EDIT 1: A lot of my other mods revolve around making followers better and merchant stuff. There's nothing truly game bereaking beyond the Cheat Room, which I mostly use as a portable smithy/enchanting spot. I mean, yes, I COULD improve everything to 100, give myself so many perks/dragon shouts/whatever item I wanted, but I feel like that makes the game boring. SO I kinda would rather earn it.

Right now I'm playing a Nord who just became Arch-Mage, because I liked the irony in a Nord of all races becoming Arch-Mage. Though for some reason, all these experienced teachers decided that 'yeah, let's make the guy with 35 Destruction magic who knows like, four spells to be Arch-Mage. Not like we have high standards or anything'.

EDIT 2: So, I can't stress this enough. Ordinator: Perks of Skyrim feels like you're playing a completely different game. I love it, it allows you do so much more than the vanilla game ever could. I feel like this is how the skill trees should have been. You get so many options to mold and modify your playstyle to whatever what you want. Wildcat, Apocalypse, and Ordinator are must-haves now for any modded playthrough for me.

I paid 60 bucks for Skyrim Special Edition.

When I had bought the game five years ago. Also at 60 bucks.

But since I don't have a gaming PC(just this shitty laptop I use for everything but gaming), it was not free for me like it was for so many others.

On the one hand, I feel like I've been taken for a complete ride and I'm nothing but a tool in terms of giving Bethesda my money when I really shouldn't of had to.

On the other hand, I can finally play with mods.

looks at his load list, sees the 30+ mods he's downloaded so far

      ...worth it.

      goes to sob

      1. Durant and the Warriors will not be as good as people think. At least at first. I think the Warriors this year will be much like the Heat team that lost to the Mavs in the finals.

      2. Dremond Green needs to stop nut-checking people.

      3. (not a Hot Take but still)Warrior and Cavs finals again, but it's not like nobody knew this wasn't happening.

      4. If any team comes out of the west to challenge the Warriors, it'll be the Spurs, now that they're finally getting rid of the geriatric players on it. Since the Clippers are regressing, Blazers is more or less one guy playing that's worth a damn. Maybe the Thunder, since I could see Westbrook being pissed off enough to make a point.

      5. Charles Barkley needs to shut up.

Clearly, the obvious solution is that staff shouldn't be allowed to have their own alts.

Then again, maybe no one should have a character.

What a strange game. The only winning move is to not play.

Move on with life. Yet you're the person still bringing it up. We get it For someone who supposedly hates these two people so much to the point of borderline obsession, it's likely you probably wiki-stalked them, because making TFW active as a private, invite-only game with only a small handful of people isn't something people would know. Unless you were trying really hard to keep tabs on people because you hate with them an obsessive passion of a thousand burning suns.

And this whole "I'm doing it for the players" thing is bullshit. You're doing it to make them look bad in whatever way or capacity is manageable. You're doing it for you, so you can revel in 'how right you are' and feel vindicated through it, so you can drop the altruism and gif-laden persecution complex.

But I guess we all need our hills to die on.

Dude, your obsessiveness with trying point out how 'bad' some people are reaching Crino-levels. We get it, they're horrible and they should be completely shunned and made to quit the hobby so the elitests of world can go on with our lives, feeling wholly confident that our particular version of fun is never trod upon again.

To point, I'm neither defending or condemning anyone, I'm just pointing out that you really really seem to love pointing out what bad staffers, players, and likely people they are. Get over it already. You say you're not the only one, but you're the one that keeps bringing up dead issues on dead threads. So I dunno. I'd say maybe it would be warranted if they murdered you dog, but really, just let shit that happened years ago sit. I wasn't aware that being salty over shit lasted multiple years. I didn't even know that was a thing. Time to move on.

Finished Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Good game in my opinion, despite what the reviews say. And I'm slowly but surely losing my but/don't buy preferences based on reviews in the dust. Can't even remember the last I actually read a review I personally agreed with.

That being said, while I like the cultural social commentary in the game, there are times where it feels like it's a bit too on the nose. Still I liked it. If only because it's not often I get to play a really fun sneaky sneak game.

No, mostly because he was a shady as shit producer.

And well, yeah, sure I'll own that, if that makes me petty, whatever. But you don't lock yourself in an office for two days and write the ending to the game, without any other input from the writers, because you believe you can do it better.

It's a known fact that BioWare has been a shell of itself since the EA buyout. I think overall quality has steadily been decreasing as games come out.

...then again, I don't blame ME3's ending on EA, that falls directly on Casey Hudson, who I'm happy was driven out of the company. But I do blame EA on the DA2 being as rushed. And DA: I being somewhat lackluster in comparsion to the previous installments. DA: I didn't really come together until Trespasser, but it shouldn't of taken a DLC to do that.
