@Arkandel And it's so nice. Left my windows open all day yesterday.

And Jose Fernandez. Same with Arnie. Man, depressing.

Young kid, had a really good career ahead of him.

    • RE: Issues with SimpleMu

I used to use SimplyMU religiously for a long time. But I'm that rando that actually likes colors on my mushes, because it helps me separate things that I'm reading. Granted, I can take it or leave it in terms of 256, but I also like the dual input thing.

That said, SimpleMU is great as it is, and it's a shame it's no longer being supported.

It's fitting that the first day of fall(or was that yesterday? It might've been yesterday)is the day where allergies decide that 'yeah, gonna kick your ass today'. I have been sneezing almost none stop. Zycam, please work faster.

I'm interested in it, but I'll wait til the roster expands before I commit to anything.

Can you give legit reasons for not liking something and still be a creeper?

      Why not both?

    • RE: Dragon Age: Dread Wolf's Rise

I think plenty of people are starting to wish for a Dragon Age game that doesn't involve being able to live out your personal ingame fantasy with whatever character that you believed obviously should've doing what(or in most cases, who).

Apparently that time has not yet come.

    • RE: Marvel: 1963

Apparently it's because when I used, my ISP is a ISV6, which I guess is something the game has had trouble trying to deal with.

At least that's what I was told when I logged on last night.

IP address worked. Dunno what the difference is.
And I got a connection time out. Not refused.

I can try, but I could try mushclient and see if it's different from Potato. Though..the strange thing is it started doing this after I moved. Wonder if that has anything to do with it.

    • RE: Marvel: 1963

I'm pretty sure it's just me, but I haven't been able to connect to the game for almost a week. Checked the wiki, still the same address I used when I first made a file for it in my Potato address book, but some reason I keep getting a connection time out.

Not sure what's up with it, but if there's something I need to do to be able to connect, let me know.

I liked the game for what it was. I had fun and I enjoyed my time, and I don't regret my decision to keep playing it even when I was told I was wasting my time. And I'm happy to made more than a couple of new friends in the process of playing it. But no game lasts forever either. And I'll take something that's not WoD any day of the week.

The game was far from perfect and I have no qualms saying as much. But realistically, if you enjoy a game for what it is, that's sorta the point. Everything else is just a matter 'someone is wrong on the internet and that pisses me off' or 'stop liking what I don't like'.

Play what you like. Enjoy it for it what it is while it lasts. And fuck the haters who think you're wrong for having what they view as 'wrongfun'. RP and the games associated with them isn't a popularity contest, no matter how hard some people try to say otherwise.

    • RE: General Video Game Thread

Been playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is pretty damn fun. They've improved greatly on the aspect of approaching every area from any particular route. More stealth options(because I'm a masochist and I love getting the Ghost bonus). Combat is still a little unforgiving, but I've always found that to be an aspect of Deus Ex, in that combat was always hard in those games.

Story is still pretty above par, and plenty of side missions to keep me interested. But a good game overall, well polished. And I feel like there's more room for exploration even if the areas seems small. Like, you don't HAVE to break into a highly secure bank that(so far)has no story based purpose, but I REALLY want the two Praxis points that allow me to buy and improve my augmentations.

I highly recommend it if you're into that cyberpunk thing.

EDIT: There was one thing I wanted to point out in the greater options for route-finding, is that usually I'd find a better route once I reached where I was trying to go and realized I hadn't explored thoroughly enough. Which is mildly infuriating and yet really cool because 'damn wish I seen that earlier would've made things so much easier' sort of feeling.

I don't know if it can get much stupider than this.

Probably the same people who have sent the spouse/partner of actors death threats because they wanted said actor to be gay.

Since, y'know... being gay isn't a choice UNLESS it validates your shitty fanfic.

People are really into that very thing with Overwatch I've noticed glaringly in the ONE day I've been playing it.

    • RE: Overwatch, anyone?

Double post. Some observations after a day with the XB1 version of Overwatch.

      • Nobody talks ever during games.
      • I have a penchant for Reaper and Reinhart
      • I really want to like Bastion, but I suck at him so far.
      • Same with Pharah, see my point on Bastion.
      • Tol seems like he'd be fun, still trying to figure it out.
      • I suck against other people. You'd think a lifetime of playing FPSs would endear me to not feeling like a huge joke against other people.

    • Monogram's Playlist

I'm only doing this because @Crysta convinced me to. There's been a lot of games over the years, and I'm probably not remembering all of them but I'll try to recall what I can. Yeah, I know I'm missing a couple of places in the past.

      Previous Places

Steel and Stone - Aeron Nayland and Kain
Eternal Crusade - Marcus <something>(ditched because Nermal was crazy)
Game of Kings - <something> Sollinger(though that was before the game opened)
Fifth World - Cedric Orelle, Flint Grantham, Solace Temple
Game of Bones - Some kooky old mage hunter can't remember the name.
Fallcoast - Lucius <something>. Cop and Giest never really got to play him
BITN - Jacob Solomon(shortly lived but fun)
      Star Crusade - John Solomon
Realm Adventurous - Lainn Laverstock, Cole, and Arngeir Shrewton
      CoMUX - Peter Quill, Thunderstrike

      Current

      Battlestar Unification - Jacob Marx

Slept through an earthquake today. Which some might find odd, but as someone who's never been in one who really wants to experience it, and then getting one this morning(I live in Kansas currently), to which my response is to sleep through it. I am very annoyed by missing out.
