The first question for the next while for you guys really, really should be: why can this not wait until I can deal with this with my team?

So stupidly excited about this. But yeah, as Echx has outlined, there's a whole lot going on. While no, the monarchy is not likely to go anywhere, and no, it's not a crusader kings sort of game, there is a whole lot more that goes on beyond the marriage simulator. Mind, there's plenty of the marriage simulator sort of thing that goes on, as well as uh, frock drama I guess it's called? I enjoy that stuff too, mind, but squee war. From what I can tell this is not a game with a metaplot that has a huge end goal to it. There really aren't win conditions so much as 'hooray, this month I'm on top' -- if you successfully climb the ladder of power to the top, it changes to a game of defense.

Isn't one of the big warning signs of database corruption rooms becoming objects and getting moved around and such?

I am qualifying what I say with 'I feel' because this is clearly not a discussion about objectivity. I don't expect you to change how I feel. What I do expect is that you consider how I (and the others posting) are feeling, in addressing this. You are doing so, fantastic. If we do NOT say outright: this is how this is making me feel, you are thus assumed to be unaware of such, and therefore you cannot take our feels into consideration. Auspice's behavior is a problem. We hear that you are addressing it privately, but what you may also wish to do privately is contain the problem until it has been addressed. It is being made worse.

Medication that makes me Dory-brained. I can completely function, speak coherently, function in the moment until a- I get distracted, or b- the next moment when I have now forgotten what I just said five seconds ago.

Right click on the .exe, properties. Compatibility tab. Check boxes: Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: System.

That is what fixed that sort of behavior for me. If that doesn't work, play around with the other options in that tab. It's def a compatibility/scaling issue.

@Arkandel Peak right now seems to be 25-40 players; in the absolute dead of night (my time) there tends to be 5-6 people. People are often holed up in what look like private areas, but usually they will flock if somebody goes out in public, or just asking 'hey, anyone want to play?' generally gets plenty of bites. Tons of super friendly people who want to make sure everyone is having a good time.

Blarg. This is super discouraging. I hope you guys manage to get this worked out.

Thankfully the 'keeping me alive' medication is out of pocket affordable. The big one right at the moment is that I can't afford any of my pain management. We were going to be trying this super cool local anesthetic patch thing for my foot that meant I would not have to consume ANY sort of narcotics at all. Well, we will still be trying it, once things get squared away. But the pain patches? Yeaaaaah, good luck with that. I can't take over the counter medication for any of it, either. It's all apparently too much of a risk for me except Tylenol, which I pretty much have to OD on to get any relief from it.

So helpful. Thank you, Cobalt! I'm getting ready to have to deal with a whole grid, and there is definitely a trick or two here that should prove useful. Figuring out what rooms are parented to a parent is...very very helpful, and I actually didn't know that one because I fail. Thanks!

Yeah, the new one is lidocaine, yes. The generic version is still a couple of hundred dollars, unfortunately. Which is much more affordable than Butrans and also non-narcotic, but...well, hopefully soon.

I hate the new Star Wars system with a passion. They just had to be clever and gimmicky with the dice, and then had to charge an arm and a leg for said dice OR you have to buy an app for your phone. Sure, there's conversion rules, but I think they were written poorly on purpose. My tabletop group was never really able to get past the dice to even get to trying to learn the rest of the system, and I do not game with idiots.

Edited to add: in meatspace. I do not game with idiots in meatspace.

I think we need your wiki before anybody's going to volunteer; personally I need to see the policies of the place and the way you're handling all the things before I could really say, though I know of a couple of people that might very well be interested. But. Wiki. Puh-lease.
