The realization that you can't effectively protect people from behaviors surrounding acts that have been disallowed is not in consent 101, and 'staff are people with boundaries too' is. It took a lot of arguing and discussing over the years, and 'because I say so' doesn't explain shit.

Ugh, Nevada appears to be really terrible about this in general, too. I don't have any more suggestions atm. However, I will say: yammer on. Please. As much as you'd like. If you don't want to put it out for everyone, you can PM me and I will listen and you can get it off your chest. Do NOT feel like you have to keep it to yourself or suffer in silence. And this thread works as good as the other, it's all about talking about bad shit in our lives of one flavor or another.

Is there a Catholic hospital in your city? It might be worth calling and finding out if they have help for ER bills. They often do, and it will often cover it even if it isn't an actual emergency. I apologize if this is useless or unhelpful advice, but I'd rather say it just in case you didn't know. I have been in similar shoes with broke and medical shit and it is hard.

ETA: Specifically, Providence Health. Their charity program helped me several times to not die.

ETA2: It also isn't like state help. They don't scream at you for being broke. They do talk about god.

My first 'full' week back at work (my schedule is still modified but w/e), and word is getting out that I am back. I have had a steady stream of people coming to me with their tech issues that they have been saving up patiently. I love my job lol. I am very gentle with my helping, so people tend to want me to help them. It makes me feel appreciated.

Yeah, I can be counted in the 'different opinion but not interested in being screeched at as an unethical monster for having a different opinion', as @Pandora mentioned. She is dead right with that, for the record.

I mean, there is also a particular type of charisma involved. It is not JUST dick-drought, though I am sure the targets of such things aren't really aware of why they are targets. Some personalities and ways of carrying yourself are just straight up attractive.

I am not going to spam the board lol like I started to do. If anyone else wants my dish on the ftp vs subscribing, let me know. Otherwise the tl;dr is that the free stuff is worth doing, since it's Bioware good and it's free. Shadows of Reven was opened for ftp with this xpac and it is GOOD.

It can 100% be played solo now save for a few cinematics associated with ops that are not in any way necessary for immersion or the story. You can do all the good Bioware stuff and ignore the rest. From the knights stuff on they actually made it kinda a pita to play together for the story parts.

Does anyone else play SWTOR? Isn't Onslaught great? I feel like they literally tailored the xpac for me. They even put the HK chapter on the cartel market. It is so weird (and wonderful, mind) to actually be a target audience for a game.
