      Been meaning to post this one for a few days.

      ... when you're ST'ing for people you don't really know and the scene goes off the rails in unexpected and (by most MU* standards) crazy, somewhat campy ways and everyone is laughing and rolling with it and it's just -fun-. It really reminded me of a TT session in that way.

      The only time I have seen Harmony stuff come up was in cases of: 'OMG so-n-so did such-n-such with that person there and they need to be puniiiiiiished guys!' dramamongering.

      I got policy that boils down to: nobody cares what uglies you bump, don't make your/their ts our problem. Seriously.

      Regarding plots, I find it super easy to do an off-the-cuff type group plot with leads people can chase down than something bigger. Holding a story-arc is a feat of pacing that I really struggle with. What I love running is that more intimate one-on-one or one-on-two type plot that really digs into backgrounds and plots and the character themselves. This is hard to do without knowing the pc, and how they will react or think. I mean, I could find some kind of blunt force trauma to break a pc, but what's the fun in that? I'd rather finesse and dig and find ways to mess with them that will, eventually, build them up into a stronger character.

      I also find that it seems the type of pc's that like to run solo for plot type things are also the hardest ones to get to know in rp. I get that pc's can be shy or spook easy and not open up, but throw a dog a bone and help me help you have fun, right? XD

      +factions has a space for leaving notes. +faction/information (faction name)=(Notes). It's a good way to track things like Safe Place for packs and what have you without needing to add new code :3

      RL is finally letting up - again, I apologize to anyone I have left hanging with all of this. I was supposed to have two months to get plots going and the game more stable before it all went sideways on me with the extended hospital stay and month-early baby arrival.

      Starting monday the 14th, I'll be working on getting plot balls rolling and rp going again. Family is heading home tomorrow, and that'll give me a few days to dig through the logs and bboards to pick up the plot threads and people that want to, to roll by and thaw or cgen and come play with us.

      I'll be kicking off with a neutral court on the 18th at around 8:30p EST.

      When you're supposed to be home and on bed rest and basically a human slug and not moving, but you have to spend 2.5 hours at the pharmacy to get one half of your prescriptions, of which the most important parts are missing (glucose test strips) and the metformin. Call the hospital, get it sorted. Go to dose at dinner after making the SO run down to town again (30 minutes+wait+30minutes back) and find out they done fucked that up, too!

      Happy release day after 32 days of captivity, but fuck you for wanting your meds and shit to actually be in order. I expect a pharmacy to fuck up like this, but not the goddamned hospital.

      RL has been merciless, but the end is nigh. After being stuck in the hospital for 32 days, I get to go home tomorrow! YAY! But there's a catch: I'm still going to have a 2 week limbo of not knowing when I'm going back (when, not if).

      To that end:

      I apologize to everyone that has popped in or faded out. I really thought I'd totally have all the free time and brain power to run plots and do the things and carry on like normal. Boy was I wrong >.<

      I know she looks dead, but as soon as I can, I'm going to go digging through posts and try to gather the strands of the plots I had (Diptheria, warring praxes, the neutral court to bring the wolves into the playing field as allies instead of enemies, and the like).

      Hopefully, it won't be any more than 2.5-3 weeks before I'm home (again) and able to start doing the things.

      ETA: I could really use another staffer to bounce ideas off of and do my jobs for me XD Mine sit and look very sad. I promise, I pay well (hah) and do not make much job mess.

      So it's been a couple weeks since I cgenned over there. Things I have observed:

      1 - person that throws winky pics before telling you they are winky pics, but they did back down quickly when I was like: uhhhh, and Tressym was notified. (It wasn't Logan)

      2 - It's dead. Like breaking into rp has been a serious chore to troll for scenes. Only in the last 2-3 days have things really picked up like people might be coming out of their shells to Do Things With A Stranger.

      3 - Scored a staff plot scene! Woo! However. It's supposed to be some big plot thing... that I have never once heard about from other pcs or anything ic. And the response to the job to try and get more settled into it, really had a feel of 'go way kid, you're bothering me'. Shortest answer, job closed, and rather discouraging because that really gives the impression that while digging into a thing was invited, it was a token invitation.

      Just feedback and personal experience.

      Alright, we're ready to phase out of alpha and into beta. Wolf is in with a couple of minor hr's to keep the spirit of working together going. The wiki is slowly coming together with the splat pages including cgen specific things and more accurate information.

      Cool things we have now:

      • +rs - Bubonic hooked us up with some random scene/new person xp bumping code to encourage more grid rp. This can total up to 1.4 xp/week, doubling passive gain by going out and rping with people on your list.

      • +repose code

      • +poseorder code

      • +posebreak is shiny and fixed

      • +Plots code to help generate ideas for ST's that like to run, but would rather not have to stop and think about /what/ to run. These give an extra beat to the ST and often correlate to overarching plot themes or are things staff wants to see run.

      • Most xp spending is self-serve. No wait, no +request. The few items that are set for +request are items that need +notes set for them, such as retainers, safe places and the like.

      XP Gain:

      • passive 1 beat per day. Or 1.4 xp/week.

      • +rs - up to 1.4 xp/week.

      • Aspirations, conditions, dramatic fails, breaking points, and the damage beats.

      • Prps - 2 beats for participation, +1 for the ST, +1 if it's on the +plots listing

      Multi-Sphere:

      Wolf and Vamp is set up, by the theme to work together. Wolves need humans, Vamps need humans, so it's quite easy to find plenty of reasons to work towards both having a win-win situation and cooperative play instead of 'us vs them'.

      The game structure is much more focused on the theme. Template is mostly irrelevant, because you need food to survive, regardless of splat. Most prp's and plots that get run have a great mix of all the templates we use (M, M+, Vamp, Wolf), which allows for a lot of crazy situational things to crop up during game play.
