Kind of surprised that's a sticking point for some. After the dumpster fires that Fallout 4 is and the catalyst that is the worst PR nightmare for Bethesda that Fallout 76 still continues to be, and you're saying that it's not Fallout enough?

I dunno, but I feel like if it was more Fallout like than it would be criticized to no end for copying Fallout, despite the fact that Obsidian is pretty much made out of a good deal of people who created Fallout at Black Isle.

The point in this case is that I didn't want another Fallout, I wanted a game that was inspired by Fallout, which doesn't mean it has to be or even retain a great amount of elements from Fallout. And seriously, if it is going to copy Fallout, copy New Vegas.

I'm enjoying it for $1. If I had $60 to drop on a video game sight unseen then I wouldn't be complaining because I'd be rolling 'round in the dolla dolla bills y'all.

I guess my message is: Be better consumers.

Also: Don't know if it's worth $60 yet. Will review more when I get there and when I better know what $60 means nowadays.

In terms of game length, I've been playing for three days because work is suspended due to Company Reasons, so I've had a lot of time to play Outer World, and by a lot, I mean, at least 8+ hours a day. Pretty sure I've went past the 30 hour mark and I'm still wandering around Monarch, having not finished the quest line there yet. So while it's obvious that it's gonna be a YMMV situation on how long the game is, I'm totally getting my money's worth.

Considering the fact that there's no microtransactions, no DLCs, not even any pre order or deluxe/complete/GOTY editions and it's...just a game. That was put out. Without any kind of extra bullshit attached to it? Back when you just wanted to buy a game to enjoy? Without worrying about some possible potential expense?

That fact alone is why, to me, it's worth $60.

Just because it felt like a couple people didn't want to get spoiled(even though this totally isn't a spoiler, I just don't want to get yelled at).

@RDC I don't quite get your meaning, but that might just be because leaving FB was one of the best decisions I made in my life.

Adeleide is pretty goddamn hateful, I even call her out on being an asshole to Paravati. I get the suggestion that she's going to wait out going to the city once everyone is dead from plague or starvation or whatever.

She's only better than Reed by a slight degree, but that doesn't make her a good person either. She's fanatical, which is a threat within itself. Any form of extremism is bad, but in that particular situation, the overwhelming inhuman qualities of capitalism to it's extreme is worse than one person with with a hate-on. Granted, that could turn out to be it's own evil years down the road. But then again, if this game's theme is any kind of indication, she'll eventually be put to the sword once someone has had enough.

And so it goes.

That's actually been a known issue with the Switch and Switch Lite. There was some hope that the issue would be corrected in the Switch Lite considering it was being made after the issues with stick drift on the normal Switch started being reported in droves, but apparently not.

Which is sad, because that's probably the one thing, besides spare cash on hand, that's preventing me from buying one.

Maybe if controllers didn't cost 60 bucks and this wasn't the only one I had, I wouldn't be as annoyed. For even more context, I've only had this particular XB1 X a little over a year. My 360 controllers didn't start getting noticable stick drift until they were ancient.

@Thenomain I will wait a couple of days before it goes on physical sale for my XB1X. I waited all this time, what's a little longer.

There was something written on this and a lot of this goes back to Tencent and the fact that it owns various percentages of a lot of different industry publishers.

I would make some kind of scathing commentary that falls along the lines of how freedoms only apply to capitalism when it convenient, but many others have already made the same statements, and more eloquently put at that.

@AeriaNyx As someone who has seen Taxi Driver I will agree more with that particular review. It does try a little too hard to emulate Taxi Driver. That said, I don't think the movie is terrible, but I don't think it's the next Citizen Kane like so many were expecting.

I thought it was very good in a cimetography sense. Is it a masterwork as a whole? Hard to say. But it was good for what it was.

Is it wrong that I was desperately looking for actual physical copies of this book to add to my collection?

If push comes to shove, I may actually fork over the cash to have the PDF printed and then bound.

It's just so weird I need to have it, if for anything else than a strange conversation piece.

It's weird that The Last of Us 2 isn't pulling at me nearly as much as the first one did.

I think that's mostly because the end of the first game was idiotic.

I did TKD for a number of years and also picked up on some Kendo years ago, when I was younger and had a body that wasn't partially broken down. For the amount I was taught, there is the ability to be really technical in poses during a fight scene. I've written them just to see what it would look like, and to me, it reads real boring. Now that could be me, but I'm not sure the need to include, 'by rotating his wrist and forearm halfway clockwise, he was able to pull at the opponent's elbow, pulling down, which offset the other's center of balance....blah blah blah'.

Personally, I think it's just better(and easier)if the majority of the details are glossed over. But then again, I like it when most fight scenes are a recreation of They Live between Roddy Piper and Keith David.

Just finished Tiamat's Wrath in The Expanse series. Now I need to listen to something else while at work. I'm open to suggestions if there's anything out there that's Expanse-like.

Looking back at the topic of Borderlands 3. My reasoning for not buying the game is completely politically based.

And that's more or less that I refuse to give Randy Pitchford any more of my money, especially given he's more or less a shitty human being who is almost Trumpian in his Twitter rants. You know, when he's not leaving squirt porn at Medieval Times.

It looks like a good game, but I took a stand last year with pushing off EA games. The Outer Worlds will probably be the last 2K related game I buy.
