@ganymede said in RL things I love:
Look, do I have to freakin' go down and cook for you?
My brain misread that and I choose to keep my version.
@jennkryst But it always takes its time to show ads in full.
The only thing I'd worry about with charging for MU* code is the problem of scope creep. If people are paying money, they're going to start thinking they're in charge of what you do.

Story of @Arkandel's life.
In an, albeit brief, return to topic. The character of Gareth on Arx has been taken by another player.
That is to say, me.
@surreality I was told that, when cooking spaghetti at least, one fistful of pasta per person. That never seems to work out right, though. So cook it all up, make a bomb-as-fuck sauce to go with it and boom. Dinner for tonight and lunch for the rest of the week.
@faraday For larger projects I'd, personally, require a design document with end-goals and visions and shit that is mutually agreed upon before work starts.

smaller groups, true
Smaller groups with a person dedicated to making binding rulings as things arise. Not committees that you have to wait on to get things done.

You, RL, may or may not know exactly how your phone works down to the circuits and signals and so on, but you do know how to call on it, tinker with an app, send a text, and so on.
Magic blue-black smoke and pixies.
@surreality It might be nice to have a list of past and present and future games, with links to people that played on/are playing on those games (voluntarily added, of course). With more room for information and elaboration than a simple thread. An explanation of what the game was, etc.
So long as we're careful not to have a forum-via-wiki style discussion develop.
@mr-johnson All Mandalorians are Mandalorians. Very few are Taung. Nationality vs Ethnicity (which is an interesting thing to explore when done right.)
@nightshade said in What's missing in MUSHdom?:
Do they also have ~400 players (aside from sex mushes)? Why not? Are they imploding because of too many players being interested?
Population isn't the be-all-and-end-all of a MU's success.
@nightshade said in What's missing in MUSHdom?:
because this same problem has persisted through the hobby over almost a decade
Not everybody sees it as a problem.

Them grapes are mightily sour, m'lord. No, it collapsed when the owner got overwhelmed by the workload and disappeared.
After refusing to hand over the game to any other stuff, after refusing to give any other stuff enough authority to get anything done, after feeling 'betrayed' by people when they didn't instantly agree with her on everything...
@auspice On the one hand, sure. Not knowing exact names and doses is whatever. But not doing any kind of research whatsoever... at least watch some Greys Anatomy or ER if you want to play a doctor.
