    • An open letter to Fallcoast

      Dear @Sonder,

In a conservative-ish estimate, by the end of 2016, there should be new core books for Changeling: the Lost and Promethean: the Created.

That would mean there are 2nd edition versions of: Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Changeling, Hunter*, Promethean and non-2nd Edition versions of Geist, Immortals and Purified. We can call generic M+ a wash, but I'll give it to the non-2E camp.

      Basically.

You should make Fallcoast a 2nd edition game. To help with your decision, I have made a pro-con list for you.

      Pro:

      • Better rules
      • I would play on your game
      • Richer, more rewarding source material
      • Streamlined rules for crossover encounters
      • You would get to laugh at any whiney complainers
      • Could justify dropping those shitstain Possessed
      • Your boyfriend thinks I am a cool dude

      Cons:

      • Need to convert Geist
      • Would need to convert Immortals, Possessed
      • Loss of many Thaumaturgy stuffs

I am even willing to help out. That's right, I would even temporarily be your staff bitch.

However, I know you will say yes anyway, because I am super good at manipulating you, as described by @Sovereign (long may he reign).

      Thank you for your consideration,
      @tragedyjones

The 2nd Edition books have all been so fucking strong, it makes me wonder how I even liked 1st Edition!

Dear mister loudly-shouting, angrily-gesticulating, horn-honking guy in the car behind me: I am genuinely and sincerely sorry that you want to turn at this cycle of the light and cannot, but I am still not going to pull out into the intersection until I am certain the light won't turn red while I'm blocking it.

This is proper protocol. People crowding the intersection is what leads to gridlock.

Season 3 or 4 spoiler, but, Walder Frey and the Freys weren't criminals at the Red Wedding. Socially repellant, but acting at the behest of the crown to punish rebels. Lawful Evil!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE FUTU Fri Jun 24 Sol Invictus

      Dear BITN,

Effective June 26, 2016 I will be inviting Amoracchius to join me as Head Staff.

The reason is, I've just run out of jam. I will be maintaining my Wizard bit, as well as financial and final authoritative control of BITN. However, I am leaving the mundane responsibilities of maintaining plot and story, as well as player satisfaction, with Amoracchius. During the coming week(s) I imagine she will be implementing her vision of how she wishes the game to proceed.

The alternative to this, of course, would be to compeltely scuttle the game and leave everyone in the cold. At the request of my staff I have declined to do that at this time. If anyone has any questions, you may reach me at bitnmuxwiki@gmail.com.

      -Sol Invictus

My concern is that the original Twilight Moons' grid was HUGE. And I don't know if that's the way to go now-a-days.

      It isn't.

    • RE: Grid Construction and Planning

@Seamus I can tell you how I did the layout for City of Fog and Blood. But I don't personally think it was the best choice in retrospect. I am more and more becoming anti-grid.

@surreality said in [Request] Policy Template:

Are you looking for boilerplate policies pre-written for a game, or for a wiki template?

I can't help on the former but could probably paste you code for the latter if you want.

@Thenomain said in [Request] Policy Template:

And if you're looking for the latter, I can probably find it if you give something more to go on, such as a title or a snippet. The Wora database is huge and hard to go through by hand.

Both please. I'm basically looking for a common sense policy that covers the important stuff like:

      Don't be an ooc jerk.
No, the staff isn't going to spy on your TS. (And dude, what was up with that thing with the duck?)
Don't cheat or break the mush, please.

And whatever other rules need to be there to encourage civilized behavior in our feral little tribe. Searching through said database sounds like a pain, so advice from those of you with experience would be a nice substitute.

Feel free to borrow or adopt any of the policies on the BITN wiki or use them as a baseline.

    • RE: Do you believe in paranormal things?

By OP's definition, absolutely not. I don't discount the possibility in things that might appear supernatural existing, I don't even 100% discount the scientific possibility of a "soul", so to speak. I don't generally accepted the concept of magic as a separate and distinct thing.
