Wheel of Time? Gimme. That's cinematic as hell.

That is probably the one I am most excited about... but also the most pessimistic. I'm sure it will be better than the FXX thing, but I'm not counting by much

"Conan trying to find a place in a world that no longer needs beefy warriors."

That seems like the complete opposite of a Conan show?

The Lyme blood test commonly performed only test for one very specific strain of Lyme. It's very good at detecting that... but that's only a small percentage of actual Lyme cases and I believe once you have Lyme once, even after treatment and cure that test will always show positive. There are a couple of other blood test that do a better job but they're expensive (200-500 depending on how much you want tested) and only performed by a couple of labs in the USA.

The difficulty in getting a good positive blood test for Lyme is why it is a disease that is able to be diagnosed clinically based on symptoms and observation and doesn't need a lab result saying Yes.

I have a LOT of family, friends, neighbors etc that have all been diagnosed and treated/in treatment for Lyme, including myself, so I've done a lot of reading on the subject.

@lisse24 If you haven't seen a Lyme literate doctor yet I'd suggest at least getting a consultation https://www.ilads.org/ has a provider search

Is your idea natives are gone, fantasy races are here.. and have no idea about modern day life? Cars, computers, etc all foreign?

    • RE: Potential Buffy Game

Willow cast a spell? Mages sound OP.

But I've never watched a full episode of Buffy. I didn't have cable when it was airing and whatever station it was wasn't a broadcast. I've seen a few episodes of Angel though and I remembered thinking it looked like a good setting for a game. I keep meaning to put it on the to watch lit but it's such a commitment!

I would avoid forcing people to play young, but a college town/city provides good opportunity for all sorts and people tend to play young anyways.

is the Charmed series related in any way to Buffy and Angel? They seem very similar

I am pretty much done with the canonical Amber royal family as PCs.

Agreed. I figure i can guess the Amber game you're referring to and a common complaint is that it is difficult to get players to engage in what passes for the metaplot. The biggest hurdle to that in my opinion is the PC canonical royal family. Maybe it's really good for people that like playing support characters in the background, but if you want to actually do something.. probably not.

@misadventure the couple of kitchens I worked at were similar. Cleaning didn't start until the doors were closed and locked.. but those people coming in at 10 minutes to closed weren't getting table service. Take out only.

We have a history of taking a simple name and making it longer and sound fancier. Janitor is sanitation engineer. Kilt is a stripped plaid skirt. That's just the one people chose to focus on to be offended

I'm not overly familiar with FAE and how it compares with Fate, but I played for several years on a Fate game and it was easily the best example of a collaborative game experience I've had.
