Yesss! These were a favorite growing up. Convoluted as fuck, but excellent.

I really enjoy the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith hunter for urban Fantasy. Also Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson and Kimm Harrisons Rachael Morgan Series. The latter starts iffy but really picks up.

@dev Photoshop and Nik Collection for a lot of the weathering and old photo effects and other presets, Alas the Nik collection was discontinued by google and then bought and fixed by another company and is no longer free and i'm cringing at the $60-70 price tag.

White eyes are hard yeah. Everything is self taught over many many years and many changeling spheres. @Thenomain can remember the days before i used layers and used way more filters to blur errors. Also I used to do a lot more nudes. Hell Haunted Memories might still have some of my early shit.

@royal @Lisse24 Re: XP timers. Not to get too far from the original topic (factions and neighborhoods whee), but I want to clarify what I mean by Xp timers that we are talking about.

So you wanna buy up yer strength. You do yer +xps me buy strength +1. Bam done. But now there is a timer before you can buy that strength again. It's not a long timer, maybe a couple weeks.

I know WoD Mu Culture has changed over the last buncha years, away from justifying your stats and all that. TR in particular opened a Pandora's Box of 'get everything you want now now now with no justifications i want, you give!' but it's really struck a blow to measured growth or any sort of reflection of reality. And no, were never gonna get real reality, because actually becoming a body builder takes years and years and years. But i do not think it is unreasonable to ask players not to go from str 1 to 5 overnight. Yes you 'earned' that XP, but there should be some semblance of reasonable structure to spending it in a setting that is supposed to be at least partially based on the real world. It takes time to learn things and get better at things. You don't go from a sedentary tub-o-lard to a glistening Adonis, Or from a Paint Chip connoisseur to a leading astrophysicist over the weekend. Even if you have the 500 xp just sitting in yer back pocket. I dont believe that asking someone to just... spread it out a bit is too much to ask.

@bobotron Hah I just linked PS9! Namedrop Time: PS9 is from my area. I used to hang backstage with them, went to all their old shows back when Divine Infekt was released, back when it was just Marshal and Joe. Fucking good times at those shows and pits. Ugh I feel old.

@A-Meowley That is generally where i am coming from. They already can be fairly inconsistent between staffers, Ive had more than one player not be entirely happy that NPC's treated them differently between staffers.
As an asside, please stop TSing players with NPC's, it never turns out well.
As long as we make an effort to take notes, link logs and perhaps keeps a running summary of achievements, failure and goals, It's doable.

One of the things I have been guilty of in the past is putting too many hoops/roadblocks in front of players running PRP's (I am notoriously picky about some theme elements and dont give up control easily). Instead, i am now looking for ways to help players feel empowered to run things, to affect the environment, to invest in the game and setting and stories.

One thing I have heard people say to me is that would run plots but they are intimidated or exhausted by the process, so they dont. So i figure, lets experiment and change that.

As someone who never read the books for some reason despite loving fantasy (maybe it was the shit cover art at the Barnes & Noble i worked at) i am feeling a lot of these complaints, just because the pacing felt really weird, like, wtf is with these 6 episode seasons. It felt really disjointed and rushed and like... am i supposed to care about these people? These really bland people, who might have some personalities... if like, they spent time on it? These are just my thoughts as someone without any attachment to the characters from reading. like, so far none of the romances or characters have any real weight to me?

Edit: Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed it, I WANTED a lot more, like I can tell there is some depth somewhere... real motivations... but yeah, I left wanting?

@Seraphim73 I am down with this. maybe even leave it open for players to add NPC's that reoccur in their RP. I know back on FC, the Abernathy Family had a reoccurring housekeeper that no one would fuck with that had a Santeria shrine in the shed.

Okay now how to implement it properly.
