@bobotron The Generation thing isn't something would have to be walked back. It could be implemented via the current 'experience tier' system that is in use on most mushes.
For Vampires:

• Base Line: 13th
• Tier 1: 12th + 15 XP
• Tier 2: 11th (Bonuses from the Ancillae rank, minus XP)
• Tier 3: 10th Full Ancillae rank.

So i have obtained a PDF of the book, while I wait for my physical copy. I have just started reading it while prepping for my birthday party. I am really jazzed about the fact you are playing something evil. There are little clues littered through out the fluff. Like the Arriving from the street into the lair of an elder is a humbling experience – no less so, if the guest kneels in their black jeans and T-shirt before an ageless monster in a chalk-white dress made from human skin. just really makes me want to actually play Vampire with this setting. I haven't gotten to far into it, more when that happens.

Update: So I have gotten to the part of the book about damage. I am really excited to see that 5th includes "Willpower" damage. So you can be impaired by social/mental attacks as well as physical ones. This makes the social maneuvering of the Camarilla even more lethal in a sense.

@bobotron Thats cool. The RPG does not go that route. Basically if you have a Black Frog Zord that makes the legs of the Ninja Zord. And the only Black ranger has a Black Wolf Zord, The Wolf Zord would adjust to fit the Frog zords place.

Zords are personal so sharing them is not part of the equation. It has the perk if the zord has a mega zord ability it transfers to the new megazord as well.

Tokyo Heroes RPG...

It addresses this issue nicely. Basically each color is an archetype and can fill the spot on any team at a moments notice. While you might be the Blue Super Ranger you could fill the spot of the Blue Alien ranger using your own Zord, as the Megazord is determined by the majority.

@bobotron Kind of sort of. We have a "villain" team planned, but it won't be introduced right away. Characters with affiliations to Team Rocket, Magma and such, will probably be folded into the new villain team.

That being said, everyone joins a team, ala Pokemon Go, a remnant of Team <whatever> could easily slide into the Independents group.

Trainers wager money when they challenge, which meams you bet your lunch money on strong your team is.

@jennkryst Nah, Gyms and Contests are two different lines of progression. If you want to be a Coordinator then you would never have to actually participate in a Gym Battle and vice versa. The Anime showed characters that focused on the contests and ones that focused on just trying to get the Gym Badges.

It is going to be minigame heavy. However, there is a global meta plot in place as well as plans for stories to be open.

The project was started out of passion for the theme and as a coding challenge for myself. So I am trying to mimic the minigames as well as allow for a roleplay environment.

As always YMMV, but it is my hope to find that happy medium.

@auspice Right now the only regional variants are the Alolan ones. PTU levels all the pokemon regardless of region. However, there are ways to customize each pokemon via stats, capabilities. Abilities, edges and breeding.

So not all Bulbasaur are cookie cutter copies.

Most of this is done. I am using a Homebrew game that merges aspects from systems I like. Though PTU for pokemon. I did not like how trainers could impact the battle by actively fighting in batyle. While I did keep this aspect, it has been toned down significantly.

And I am not going for a single region game. I am doing every region.

@thenomain That is just the pokedex entry for the base version of the pokemon. I have improved on it since yesterday.

Updated... Finally.

I primarily use cgen as a way to make sure that characters follow the format for their appropriate template. This means making choices based on what is and is not allowed. It takes all the "Is this systemically legal?" Type questions off the hands of staff and allows the to spot check the sheet for implausibilities -- such as Major in two years, Master @ Violin on a die hard Jarhead, etc. It also allows me to spot players who game the system or do not know the system and make sure, in the case of not knowing the system, that they are aware of what they are getting into or lacking to help make their playtime better for them. Failing that I have a 5 XP rule. As long as you haven't earned 5 Character XP on the character you can request staff alter your sheet post chargen to fit expectations better.

It is not my plan. But one I heard about. And I can fathom the concept of doing it because of the massive imbalance it will cause.
