RE: The Work Thread
I am a Regulatory Specialist for a Electronic Medical Records company. When I joined the support team there were 4 people offering software support and ad-hoc training for over 1,000 doctor's offices and their staff. I was lucky if I got a week of training before being thrown into the fires. I am glad they did it that way, but I had to scramble those first few weeks. Now I am starting my own branch of the support team, dealing with Regulatory (Government Incentive Programs) and when the person that was supposed to be doing the development to keep our software up to date, quit, we found out NOTHING was being done at all. So the 6 months I've been trying to clean up their mess, coordinate with our development team to get the stuff designed, tested, and rolled out -- not to mention train our in house support team, sales team, implementation team and Account Management team on how to do regulatory stuff. But only in theory because our system doesn't support it yet. AND We have a dead line of 12/31 to get it supported or we lose our certifications and if we wait to long our clients can't correct their mistakes to try and make the measures for incentives.

RE: Lifehacks
I go to the grocery store and buy stuff for lunch and bring it to work. I am lucky my job has two full kitchens with stoves and such, but I normally just bring in Sandwich meat, breads and cheeses. That way I can make them when I'm work, if I don't eat out. It works fairly well.
Other hacks I do, I do a lot of crockpot cooking. So I put the stuff together the night before and stick it in the fridge, then pull it out and set the crockpot timer and turn it on. Saves a lot of time for dinners.

RE: Bad Moon Rising MUSH(Buffy FS3)
@ZombieGenesis I'm really not sure any would really need to be made. Unless you're allowing for spell casting, then you could handle that by adding in a Magic Skill to roll against. Most of the Buffy stuff is physical so it could easily be represented by the current system.

RE: BESM 4th Edition KS
So the preview is now out. Yay! So it really looks like just a bunch of re-balancing. I can't wait to get my copy. I'm kick starting this on Monday.

RE: BESM 4th Edition KS
@Bobotron Yes they were, however, I am getting the feeling it is a bit more pronounced in this system and not optional, like they were in 3rd.

RE: Foundry Virtual Tabletop (FVTT)
Well, it's not just rendering the maps. It's actually allowing you to run the entire campaign from within the map with rules and effects. We can't wait to play with it.

RE: Foundry Virtual Tabletop (FVTT)
TaleSpire is a nice one. My D&D group all chipped in to back this one.

RE: BESM 4th Edition KS
So I looked over the Facebook and Twitter feeds, I'm guessing they are introducing racial packages and classes. I'm kick starting this one, so I'll share more when I know more.

RE: The litRPG thread
So. A book about RPing a character in a VR system? Damn, I thought it was some kind of RPG system.

RE: BESM 4th Edition KS
Having played 1st, 2nd, 2nd Revised, d20 and 3rd. They are all pretty flexible. Third seems to incorporate, albeit loosely, the concept of races and archetypes(or classes) in the framework of packages. While they had these in revised on, they were not as 'defined' as they are in third. The main setting for 3rd was the selling point for me. It is basically an Anime Version of Stargate mixed with some other things. Basically you are from a world, which defines everything about your character, and then you can travel to other worlds where your magic maybe unique or even outlawed. Fun stuff. My gaming group ran it for several months going between worlds -- Fighting Dragons with Summonable Mecha and using Hard Core Magic against Alien invasion Mecha.
I can't wait to see what 4th Edition does.
ps. Any game with a source book called "Cute & Fuzzy Cockfighting Seizure Monsters" can't be all that bad, right?
