If it's on TinyMUX I might be able to help as a coder.

RE: Best (PnP) RPGs of 2018?
@BobGoblin They released the "player's guide" for KS backers the other day. I haven't looked through it yet but I was planning to tomorrow while at work.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@AeriaNyx I say this about more and more things but...I would have loved to seen it as a 10 episode series on Netflix or something. There's only so much one can fit into a movie, you know? You are right, there is a ton of stuff they could have explored that would have made the movie so much better. Like I said, I'd have loved to have seen it as a limited series somewhere.

[NSFW] Erotic RP Concepts
Saw this started in another thread and I thought it might be worth its own. Favorite concepts/characters played(or want to play) on an erotic themed game?
Some of the most fun I had was on a superhero game that was just over the top. I played Captain America and the "superhero registration" act meant something very different there.
Most of the time, however, I'm a sucker for melodramatic supernatural goth drama.

RE: Fringe/Weird RPGs
I love Zombie Smackdown. Once ran a whole campaign using it. I actually love most of the Unisystem games. That company did a good job till, you know, it didn't. As for my collection, I'll just list the one, my favorite "weird" RPG.
- Superbabes: The Femforce RPG: This is an actually licensed product from AC Comics. You play a hero in a world where heroes and villains are mostly women. I'm sure there are those who will say "Man, that game did not age well" but the comics and the game were all in good fun and my group(which had 2 girls in it) had a blast playing it. The system actually isn't even half bad, to be honest.

RE: Dead Celebrities 2019
@ghost You know Wade Bogg's is still alive, right? Or is this an Always in Sunny thing...?

RE: Gauging Interest in a new Erotic RP MU* (with anonymous survey)
To me, the difference is something like this...
A non-erotic game set in mythic Greece: You and your RP partner bring your characters into a scene. You play the owner of a brothel and your partner plays one of his brides. You're both fully clothed, there's no talk about sex, you might hold hands but there's no overt signs of affection otherwise.
An erotic game set in mythic Greece: You pose your character entering with your RP partner on one arm and a prized companion on the other. Both are topless with graphic depictions of their breasts in their @descs and possible links to NSFW images.
Same game, same theme, but in one sex is just a part of life. That's how I see it anyway.

RE: Fringe/Weird RPGs
Went and looked through one of my bookshelves and found...
- MIB: The official Men In Black RPG by West End Games.
- Toon: A fun slapstick game that emulates the old looney tunes cartoons.
- Ghostbusters/GB(International): This isn't really a bad or weird game just...it's f'n Ghostbusters and the progenitor of the D6 system by WEG. I love this game so much.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
All I'm gonna say is this and I truly mean it as respectfully as possible; concentration camp is a charged term. When people use it they know full well they are bringing images of Auschwitz to mind. And quite a few people actually do throw the word Nazi in there for good measure. That is disingenuine and does not help the cause at all. When called on it you can nitpick and say "WELL the encyclopedia says..." all you want but the fact remains; you're using a term to paint the picture you want not the picture of what actually is(which is horrific enough). I just do not believe in using the pain and suffering of one group as a crutch to get people to empathize with the pain and suffering that another group is going through now. Even if the term is technically correct it can be twisted and used against those trying to help. I've seen people just throw that phrase out like that's it, it ends the argument. Why? Because of the baggage that term brings with it.
Anyway, I don't know why I commented on this at all. I generally don't get into political or religious discussions for obvious reasons. I'll leave this thread by saying that what is happening at the border, from most reports, seems to be an affront to humanity and something needs to be done. Semantics about what it's called aside.

RE: M&M 3E/Champions MU Help For Newbies
The beauty of Champions is you can scale it to fit your needs. My only real problem with M&M is I find the stun mechanic a bit wonky with characters prone to stun lock. It seems simple from the outset but when you start adding in complications and conditions or whatever I find it spirals pretty quickly.
In the end I think both systems scratch the same itch just in a different way. I own a ton of books for both and when people ask "which would you suggest" I can't really answer because it depends on what you're looking to get out of the system. For me, it's Champions but M&M is certainly not a wrong answer. If you get my meaning.

RE: Worst Games
This is a rough one for me because it was a game I was very much looking forward to. We're gonna have to take the way back machine to 1999 and a game called Birth of the Federation. It was a civilization builder type game set in the Star Trek universe. Everything about it looked great but it had one major flaw; it was un-fucking-playable thanks to the anti-piracy shit they threw on it.
They'd eventually patch it up properly and give it a decent UI overhaul making it a decent game but it was a long road to get there and this was back in the day when you had to track down patches and install them yourself after downloading them on your fucking dial-up connection.

BESM 4th Edition KS
I know we have some BESM fans here on the board so I thought I'd share this release about BESM 4th Edition.

RE: M&M 3E/Champions MU Help For Newbies
So, for fun, I whipped up a proof of concept cg guide. The following assumptions were made...
- The game uses M&M 3E
- It has no in-game cg system and uses sheets attached to the character wiki profile(mostly because I've come to the conclusion that MUSH coding is not worth the effort it takes to do it).
For those interested in checking it out you can find it here: H&V Guided Character Generation.
Is this something that would work for people? Is it too much? Not enough?

RE: V:tM Chapters
Well shit. I guess I know where part of my tax return is going.

RE: BESM 4th Edition KS
I honestly have no idea. I haven't read anything on it beyond the fact that it exists. I was thinking the same thing though, I'm quite happy with my 3E copy of BESM. They'll have to do something pretty nifty to get me to switch.

RE: MUs That We Would Love To Make (But Won't)
I'd totally be down for a Mortal Kombat or Pro Wrestling MU.

RE: Hogwarts Legacy
@Ghost I'm about 8 hours in and I'm loving it. This is generally not my type of game either(I'm generally more of a combat sports or Dark Souls person). I'm also not a huge Harry Potter fan. I enjoyed the movies and books well enough but only to read/watch them once each. This game, however, has sucked me right in and I can't seem to stop playing.

RE: Good TV
@Auspice My wife and I really enjoyed it. It felt like they were finally able to do the show the way it was always intended to be done.

RE: MUs That We Would Love To Make (But Won't)
Ahhh, Star Wars. One day I'm gonna get off my butt and get my Legends of the Old Republic game up and running.

RE: Pathfinder for Savage Worlds
@Hella Savage Worlds is a great system. The one thing that my players tend to get hung up on is using the deck of cards for initiative. If you're more accustomed to traditional RPGs, that may come as a shock. It can also be VERY swingy thanks to exploding dice and the extra d6 you roll with everything. It can lead to unpredictable results.
Have fun! I think(hope) you'll enjoy it!
