ETA: potentially nsfw.I would use their card to buy a bunch of these.
And send them to so many people anonymously.
Fifteen bucks for a bag of gummies?! It had better be a big fucking bag.
It isn't. We bought some just for fun and it was a tiny little single-serving size bag.

I bought a FAMILY SIZE bag of DoubleStuff Oreos.
I ate 5 of them.
Today I went to get some more and they were ALL GONE. THERE IS ONLY ONE OTHER PERSON IN THIS HOUSE.
Gremlins! It's the only explanation.

That is the record for quickest turnaround from interview to job offer.
Video interview at 11:30am.
Assessment test completed by about 1pm.
Job offer at 2:30pm.Start date will be March 2nd. So I still have a few weeks of super tight finances to navigate, but I'm still breathing a little easier nonetheless!
Congrats on getting the job!

Thank you for the recommendations so far!
I would strongly recommend you find a team of people and try to build your own game. There are a lot of resources out there. As you can see there is a small amount of games out there, so another wouldn't be entirely unwelcomed.
I've been thinking of taking a stab at this since no one seems to be interested in my sci-fi games My current thought is a near-future superhero game based on the Tiny Supers RPG and set in the "Gallantverse" campaign setting. I'd use either AresMUSH or Evennia (most likely Evennia). The only thing holding me back is I am not sure how well a game not based on Marvel or DC would be received.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
For the first time in more than a decade, all of my credit cards are carrying a $0 balance. I paid off the last one yesterday with my state tax refund. It felt great to get them all paid off, but it's kinda scary too when I think about the combined limits of the cards >.<
Now I need to find out how I can get rid of some of them without adversely affecting my credit score.

Geez, I own 4 pairs of shoes. I get annoyed when I see them sitting around in my room because WHO THE HECK OWNS SO MANY SHOES.
Now I know. -

Sex is over-rated. Settle for someone who can cook.

RE: Dating in the 2020's
I never really dated, mainly because I never really had to go looking for potential partners. Then I hit 40 and became a /lot/ less active, socially, and that all changed. I played with Tinder and Grindr a bit (morbid curiosity, mostly) and found that I did not much care for the shallowness and casual racism that permeates those platforms so, yeah. I'll stick to more conventional ways to meet people.

I'm tempted to make a Champions or Heroes Unlimited MUSH just to spite people.
A Champions MUSH with the FUZION rules, please!

I have tried making hummus at home but none of my efforts could hold a candle to my favorite store brand (Sabra). I'll keep trying though!
One of my all-time favorite snacks is roasted red pepper hummus with a cup of Pace Medium Salsa dumped on top, served with Tostitos Crispy Rounds for dipping. It's so good!

@Auspice When I first started tinkering with Ares, some of my friends warned me that Faraday was not at all receptive to people modifying the server in ways she did not personally approve of and that she and I would most likely end up butting heads. I took that warning to heart and have avoided asking her any questions, participating in the AresMUSH forum, or discussing my projects on sites like this (ok so I have not been so good about the last one). That heads-up no doubt saved me (and Faraday) some unnecessary drama, so I am extremely grateful for it.
Not really being critical here since it is her project, time, etc etc, just relaying my personal experience.

RE: PB 'realism'
I guess I'm one of the few left that prefer text descriptions. I've never used a PB in 20+ years of MU*ing.

RE: RL things I love
I came home from work today tired and aggravated, only to discover that my hates-to-cook boyfriend (seriously, he's cooked maybe twice in the past year) had made dinner, and it was great!
So much for my bad mood!

RE: Well, this sums up why I RP
Honestly, I haven't RPed anywhere in quite a while now.
When I first got into MUSHing, it was an attempt to replicate the tabletop gaming experience I lost when I went away to college and was separated from my gaming group.
I quickly figured out that that RPing online was a totally different thing from the tabletop games I was used to. Some of the familiar elements were there but not in easily recognizable forms. It was still fun, but I stayed mainly because this was the early days of the Internet and MUs were the first place where I actually felt a sense of community, like I "belonged" somewhere, you know? I met a lot of nice people and made lasting friendships that persist to this day. Over time, MUing became a low-bandwidth, easy-to-disguise social activity that I could engage in from work to ease the tedium of my boring desk job. This worked for me for years and years.
But then the modern Web, along with social media, came along and siphoned off many of the people who were in to MUing mainly for the social aspects, the same way that MMORPGs had siphoned off the gamers years before. This killed much of the community. Suddenly, no one wants to talk anymore. "New" people are met with suspicion and distrust and activity levels are dropping across the board. You have to watch everything that you say now because there are so many people looking for the opportunity to be outraged. This has all but killed the hobby for me, but I still engage, mainly out of habit, and because I enjoy coding.
