      Matrix

To be pedantic, it was 'human body heat plus fusion = electricity', but yeah. Go back to a draft version of Human Mass Computer and there you go.

Technically, humans were told by the machines they were batteries when the first One was chosen/woke folks up. I don't remember confirmation that they were actually used for power, aside from Morpheus' line.

      ... fuck space systems.

I will only fuck the fun ones, as reward for being fun. HSpace in particular.

I mean... the Fae are there. They just don't venture far from Avalon.

@Seraphim73 To paraphrase the show: 'What do you mean, they made a time travel artifact to go back and kill Hitler... did somebody forget to tell them he was a master at battle magic?'

HOW IN GODS NAME DO WE NOT HAVE A GAME IN THIS UNIVERSE YET?

Unknown. Possibly because mage spheres are too generic for their suff (teleporting is niche, among other things?)

      Setting cool, mechanics hard.

This is also eclipse phase-ish as hell.

    • RE: Deep Shadows - Shadowrun 5th Edition MUSH - Help Wanted

Part of the chargen issue was I had a serious love of the Lifepath system (since it prevented the ever-classic 'I spent X years in the military, but have 0 skills that would go with it' thing). So I pushed for it a bunch, even though it meant more work on our part to write up new modules.

I still stand by a pure-karma build as the BEST way, because it is 'here is a pile of xp, GO FORTH!'... and still put Lifepath over your typical priority system, because ew priorities.

There is code floating somewhere for the 5e game that sputtered... dunno who has it. @ixokai maybe? Unsure how far it got, either.

She will never try Shadowrun, so MEH.

      So 3.5, but more unbalanced.

I have a hate-on for level-based systems and vancian magic, plus, it isn't Spelljammer. I wish you luck with it, though!

This... sounds like the best idea ever. But I don't have OMage Revised books anymore, just M20!

Let Freedom Ring is a 20th game that has openings, if you want to Techno there. Philly Spehsshipz.

Yay Stir Werz, handwobble SAGA. For the various reasons listed above. Also, because I kiiiinda hate level-based systems. But at least it isn't vancian magic, so yay?

@Ganymede said in Fires of Hope: A Star Wars Story:

Not to mention that action he got with Luke's sister.

MUSHes, yo. The normal sibling issue between Luke and Leia is a non-factor, so Han gets CONTROL ROOM-blocked. The end.

@Auspice said in Fires of Hope: A Star Wars Story:

But I also don't want a game that's All Jedi All the Time (unless it's like, a specific Jedi Academy game which now that I think about it could be pretty awesome).

There was a FFG one brewing a while back, and I'm strongly thinking about throwing money at Theno for code. But without actually asking directly, because oh god, oh god, social anxiety.

    • RE: Searching for Star Wars RPI

I feel chargen would be super easy if you don't code in all the prerequisites... just let the players fill everything in manually, and then staff combs it for accuracy after. It's not shadowrun or rifts, here.
