But @Ganymede, this is the thread to make them code stuff for Star Wars: Spehss Biznitches.

RE: Searching for Star Wars RPI
The dice mechanics for FFG are simple enough, and can be explained in webcomic form.
Coding... can't you assign success/failure/triumphs/setbacks to the rand()? +roll can pull directly from your +sheet and roll the Ability and Proficiency dice for you. Set a modifier of some sort for boost and setback and difficulty, and have a despair flag?
I ask because I have no idea how bonkers the code for it would turn out. Aside from +roll and +sheet tracking, you don't need code to automatically do stuff for you. You should know what your stuff does.

Age of Alliances is also a thing if you're feeling up for randomness. Some folks do group apps and can start with their own capital ship bases! Loners have to fight an uphill battle for cybernetics. Fun times!

RE: Arkandel's Playlist
Volume of Rules is sometimes okay. Level-based never is.
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

Oh, Dawn of Defiance. If only you weren't Saga...

RE: LFS: Eclipse Phase MUX
Economy is tricky because everything is paid for by rep and it bugs meeeee.

RE: Looking for Help: New Game, D&D 5e TinyMUX
SPEHSS is Space. Spelljammer isn't really sci-fi... more like Treasure Planet, with open top boats and such. Buuut.... yeah. Plus, Mind Flayers are canonically from the distant future. So timey wimey.

CAN I PLAY A BIOWEAPON?
Done! You are now a Taco Bell Chalupa.
Does the Chalupa have henticles, with which I can flail about awkwardly and have the peanut gallery shout 'I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH HENTAI TO KNOW WHERE THIS IS GOING!'?

RE: Good or New Movies Review
I come here with talk of Rogue One, and how my two favorite parts of the film have nothing to do with plot, and have everything to do with 1) Data Storage, and 2) Hyperspace/Light Speed mechanics.
But. I also add....

I'm not sure why the Clown Prince of Chaos can so easily elude Batman, but got himself shot down, save by underestimating how much of a bitch Waller could be.Because if the Joker were a character in a MU, he has spent all of the XP in 'The Goddamned Batman' specialties. Academics 2/BATMAN 99. Because of weird houserules, cross-skill/synergy bonuses, and whatever else.

RE: The guy who coded Kishi Kaisei MUX [L5R]
I am the thread necromancer, yes. Happens all the time.
I trust FFG to make, at the very least, a game that you can have fun with. At worst, a MU can remain 4e and not have to deal with new material all the time (aside from the possible custom content here and there to fill niches).
Teaching people the system is not as tricky as it sounds. Just plot. Setting is trickier.

RE: LFS: Eclipse Phase MUX
Literally every time I have extra money lying around, I consider tossing it at @Volund to try to get something fancy coded up. But I fear no one will ever put in spaceflight, which makes me a saaaaad panda.

RE: The guy who coded Kishi Kaisei MUX [L5R]
@Misadventure It's fantasy flight, so worst case scenario, it will be decent. Unique dice and tokens are kind of their thing.
The other merits of it can go to its own thread. For now, I just want to troll with my Scorpion Courtier.

Suzume Clan member with Different School advantage (Choosing the Yorimoto Bushi school) and the Gaijin Name flaw (Jack). Proceed until you can become a ship captain.

RE: The guy who coded Kishi Kaisei MUX [L5R]
Double misfortune as, while reading the Fantasy Flight Forums to try to confirm if they are making a L5R 5e, I saw the FFG SW threads and now want to play a space cheddar monk again.
Damnit.

RE: The guy who coded Kishi Kaisei MUX [L5R]
I kind of met John Wick at a convention during a 7th Sea LARP where dude played a fate witch (and very nearly cross-dressed to make folks realize he was ICly a woman)... but this was nearly a decade ago, so I doubt I have any pull. Plus, I don't know if he counts any more.
ALSO, I don't know if Fantasy Flight is doing a thing with the RPG? I know they got rights for an LCG which I will be spending all the money on...

RE: XP Tax
Why would my stats degrade over 6 months?
My band nerd self is showing through here: having done Drum Corps on the world class level (in WoD terms, I'd say... Expression 2-3, with specialties in Dance, Music, (specific instrument), and some bullshit rule that lets you tack on a 4th of something for the lolz). Within 2 weeks of finals, I could still play the notes... standing still. Not running around a field like a madwoman.
Better example: take Michael Phelps, right now, and throw him in the water. Has he kept up his regimen from the olympics? Sure, he's probably still damn fast. But is he Athletics 5/Swimming/Butterfly/Sith Lord Hoodie fast?

RE: The guy who coded Kishi Kaisei MUX [L5R]
I made the error or reading too many things and want this MU to happen again. What with all my totally existing, non-sarcastic free time, and all.

RE: ISO Collaborators for Shadowrun
A time machine to stop the release of Civilization and Final Fantasy XV. I think are the two major speed bumps. Also, FIGHT THE MAN and their choice to go 2:1 time.
