I am going to see Black Panther tonight.
That's it. That's all I have to say.
I am going to see it tonight, possibly, as well. I shall promise now to no spoilers.

I still dislike the change to klingons, but if you can get past that, Discovery was actually very well done imho. Enjoyed it.
@bored Yes there is always a sheet, yes there are always ways to optimize/twink, because no system is absolutely perfect. I was just concerned @Packrat was shifting the tide of where the 'winning' +sheet design came in. @Packrat answered my question and if they can pull it off, then that'd be great and awesome. as far as investment goes though it seemed to me that going the resources way, was the 'cheaper' way, +sheet wise, to be a big bad.
That's what concerned me.
That sucks. DoW 1 and 2 were pretty good games I still play.
I'm noticing some slowdown on the site with all the gifs now, starting to wonder if it's my bandwidth, or the site's bandwidth, or just nodebb screaming under the weight of all these gifs.

Sure Dame Dirtbag is probably a huge badass who can fight two or three professional fighters at once but numbers tell and it is a really bad idea to instigate fights to the death with squads of elite soldiers so that you can rub a person's nose in your Melee skill being higher than theirs.
At which point does money become the 'I win' button then? It sounds very much like you're making an attempt to reign in the +sheet Warriors with another version of... +sheet warrior except with resources/wealth being superior to combined combat skills.
@surreality Reminds me of this training class, it is full of very stupid people. People who have to be walked through something by the trainer, when they literally just saw him walk someone else through the /exact same thing/ not ten seconds before.
There are at least a dozen of these people in this class.
The worst offender will break into the voicechat in order to make sure she holds up the class and gets the trainers personal attention.
She is so stupid that I and few others now use the name 'Martha' for anyone who is an idiot.
So when one of the other stupid people do something stupid or ask a stupid question he /just answered/, one of us will inevitably go:
Why? Whygodwhy?
And the answer is always along the likes of: Cuz Martha.
For a game like this there's actually a couple of rule sets that might work well, off the top of my head is All Flesh Must Be Eaten, the rules are comprehensive enough to be engaging but simple enough to translate fairly well to this environment.
I have been thinking about this because of Dawn of War 3 as well, I really liked DoW 1 and 2. Not familiar with the Endless * games but it had nice artwork which is a plus. Total War Warhammer is an /outstanding/ game too.

Okay, I promised I'd make a longer post.
I've already shared plenty in this thread and the advertisement thread, but I've got a couple of things that really bug me so I'll cover them.
Just a note that this is actually the advertisement thread. Looks like the Hog Pit thread is here if people want to go at it!
Is it really an advertisement thread anymore if a game is dead?
How do you advertise for something that doesn't exist?
