You also ask about +requests but never ask about applications. The length of time it takes to apply and how hard/easy it was perceived to be does matter for activity on the game.

@thugheaven It is a consequence. It makes your character, who has lived in this world their whole life, seem like a stupid idiot who thinks they can read even though they /should/ know better. It cements it in, because there's no given way to retcon and walk things back, because that other person isn't breaking character to tell you.

I'm not saying this is bad or good. But it is a thing.

This is ICC for OOC ignorance. Right there. Why do you keep denying that you can get punished for OOC ignorance in one sentence and then reinforcing that it can happen in the next sentence?

Just accept that it's part of your game. And there are people that don't want to play based on that simple fact.

Free to play, great game mechanics. You don't even need to be that good at FPS even though it is an FPS game.

Someone recently turned me on to Deceit that is free-to-play on Steam. If you have five friends and a wish to never trust them again, you should check it out.

@sunny Yeah, I am actually ok with not being the intended audience. I just wanted to point out that while yes, there are dicks everywhere, that this isn't a thing that is everywhere on every MU* because there are games that make rules to prevent it.

@thugheaven except elsewhere in the community, there are rules about being a dick about little things. I mean, look at Arx's rules on not being a dick about IC titles and people getting them wrong.

@surreality hm, this post was definitely posted before I went in there. Maybe they edited it? Possibly it is happening then too. Maybe after I get off work we can ignore each other and debug it, or something.

When I am on my mobile phone and if I stay too long on one thread that has a post from an ignored user, it expands the post and shows it, though it's all still greyed out and styled in the way of the 'This message is hidden because its author is in your ignored list.'

Doesn't happen on the PC. I can't inspect to see what is happening on my mobile.
