Is vegas that city with the burger-joint/gun range that made the news for the little girl shooting the instructor?
It should have that.

My dwarven forge dice finally arrived. I can't wait to ruin my dungeon master's table with them! Bring on the lycanthropes, I have mithril silver dice!
I can't wait to step on the high precision metal d4 when it falls on the floor.

That's a factor I hadn't considered. People in automated combat games with experience playing in non-automated games as well, how big a factor has this been for you?
It's really night and day for the plot runner. The few plots I did run on Battlestar went very smoothly, partly because the players were all systems go(I had amazing buy in from players that I really haven't seen elsewhere), and the system really supported you. But even on games like any of the star wars mushes I've played on, or shadowrun, you can't do a quarter of the things in the same amount of time, even if the players are all hyped and into it.
Honestly, I'd just like to have one or two plots where my decisions actually make a difference to anything. I'm happy to tag along and blast things once in a while, but by far the most meaningful RP I've had in the past 3 years is chatting in a crew lounge or hanging out in a safehouse chatting about the Urban Brawl league. Most plots I've taken part in have either no significance beyond a payday, or are held so tightly to predetermined outcomes, it's like reading the GM's storytime blog.
@Arkandel To add to Coin's reply, here are a few things to consider:
What are you using your bike for? Is it just for commuting?
If it's just commuting, then you might think of ignoring mountain bikes all together. The cheaper ones are heavy and slow, and the thick knobby tires are awful on the road.
If you like to ride on trails, then a mountain bike will be what you're looking at, but if it's still mostly commuting, I'd recommend getting slicks for it.
What are you riding your bike on? Do you have nice roads? Hills?
Where I live it's pretty flat, and I really only ride on the road. For my commute, I have a single speed road bike with caliper breaks that I got for $500. It's fantastic--fast, and easy maintenance. My only issue is that I'm heavy and my roads are like a warzone, so I find I'm fixing my tubes once or twice a month. It gets easy with practice
If you have hills, bump up for some gears. I got a second bike and the one or two hills that I encounter are now a laughable breeze.
If you have back/neck issues, many places will sell decent commuters without drop bars, or will even swap drop bars for risers.
If you're not into doing maintenance, I'd steer away from disc breaks. They're difficult to adjust properly and your wheels will pretty much never be true. If they're not perfect, you'll get drag off of them. Good for your quads, but might not be the most enjoyable bike ride .. My second bike has disc breaks and even my store's mechanic has difficulty getting them just right, in order to get rid of the drag, I have them set pretty loose.

@EmmahSue There's three of you. If you didn't do it, one of them did.

NEXT WEEK ON ARKANDEL: INTERNET DETECTIVE.
Ah, I see you've mistyped yahoo.com, the internet isn't broken after all!
Oh nice! I had something like this going in the aliens(ish) universe, but kind of lost steam, and started thinking d6 might be the way to go for what I wanted. As a military romp fs3 would be fine!
One episode left on Ozark... it's really good. There are obvious parallels to Breaking Bad but it gives me a much different vibe, since the characters' moral dance is taking them to a completely different place.
Really solid performances, too.
Just started this. I can't shake the feeling that this is Michael's post Arrested Development run after George-Michael ran away. Poor guy just can't catch a break.
@faceless I'll keep my eyes peeled, then. Canadian game prices are nuts the last few years.
Every time I see this thread on my unread list, it makes me think of a hookworm picture I saw earlier this month.

That said, apping Cyclops when you know full well that he's ICly married to Jean and then on day 1 saying: "I want a divorce" just to go hook up with Rogue... that seems like a pretty craptastic thing to do. The kind of thing that can screw up other characters pretty badly.
I'm a bit out of the loop, but isn't that one of Cyclops' MOs?
I was thinking about trying 8th sea with this guy

LRH isn’t even as interesting as Jim Jones or any of the LDS church fathers or branch offs
You gotta give him credit though. Anyone who looks so much like a fraudster, and had openly talked about starting a religion to avoid taxes and then pulls it off is doing something right.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is Free through Uplay right now.
The best part about that game is the singing while sailing bit. And singing while watching the english and spanish sinking hundreds of ships while you just mosey along.
The system books are also on sale on Drive Thru right now.

Honestly, for as popular as nWoD is, sometimes it drives me insane as a MU*. I get so sick of having to reference websites/PDFs to remember all the different dice pools.
As a filthy casual, this has been a huge barrier to me getting into WoD. There's so many goddamned splat books.
@packrat Yeah, I just finished it. I thought it was going to be a miniseries, and was sad it was so short, but it was a fun will smith experience in Shadowrun.
A friend of mine bought me Conan Exiles and I've been playing it quite a bit the past couple of weeks.
It's like a more frustrating Minecraft, but with schlongs flapping in the breeze while you rapidly die of dehydration and starvation. People keep saying the combat is good, but it's mostly cheesing with arrows and rockem sockem robots.
Somehow I'm having a lot of fun with it. Definitely one you have to play with friends on a private server, though. I would lose my mind on a PvP server where some griefer can just show up and knock down your castle.
Halflife.
Just so someone could name it Halflife 3: Confirmed.
