@thatguythere Well I disagree entirely with that (as do a large number of SW players). It may not be your thing, which is fine, but it's certainly not "meh".

RE: Savage Worlds Rifts
It's certainly one of those systems where either you like it or you don't. Like I said, I think for some it's really difficult to get into because the books are horrendously organized.
As for the wild die is that 4 is the base difficulty for mundane actions for mundane people. Wild Cards (characters and special NPCs) should have a better than normal chance at succeeding at mundane actions. Most actions for characters will have difficulties above 4 or will require a certain number of raises to succeed.
One thing I really like about SW is how adjustable it is. By default it is very lethal. We use a "knocked out" rule that prevents death our campaigns but have added an edge that allows for lethal strikes. I think it's one of the optional rules in the core book.

RE: Savage Worlds Rifts
There's a strong sect of people overall that hate SW and I think it stems from the absolutely horrendous organization of their books to be honest. My TT group is in love with SW. We've moved over to it exclusively. We currently have a fantasy game, a superhero (well villain, we're playing Necessary Evil using the 2nd Edition Powers Companion rules) game, and Rifts campaign going. We think it works amazingly well. Once you understand the rules, which the rule books really do not help with at times.

Savage Worlds Rifts
Been playing the crap out of Rifts the Savage Worlds edition and my group was wondering how much of an interest there might be in such a MUX? We have no plans of actually making one, we're just curious to see if there'd even be interest in this setting and system for it. Thanks.

RE: White Wolf Street Fighter
I loved this game. Still have the books even. My group modified combat to get away from the cards but I kind of wish we hadn't. Great game!

RE: Young Justice / Teen Titans MUX
@bobotron I listed Kyle as a possibility but, really, I don't think he throws the curve off any more than Superboy, Mary Marvel, or Supergirl so I think I'd be open if someone wanted to app a teen Red Lantern or something.
And thanks for the additional characters. They're all going on the list. Right now I'm compiling just a big list of possibilities and I intend to whittle them down later if I move forward with this project.
My initial idea was that the second gen heroes get fed up because the first gen heroes (Superman, Batman WW, etc) refuse to step down and let the second generation heroes step up like they should. In response the second generation heroes create a counter to the Justice League for them and the third generation heroes but there's possible stress between the second and third gens as the second genners start treating the third generation heroes like the first generation treated them. That's a lot of generational garble there and I hope it makes sense. That was just an initial idea though.
This is all just "initial" poking and prodding to see if I can find something that makes sense. I miss DC Rebirth and would like to do something in the DC Universe. With Gotham: Flashpoint coming I think I'd like to do something that doesn't focus on Gotham.
So thanks for the help and the ideas! They are all appreciated.

Young Justice / Teen Titans MUX
So a few people have approached me about opening a YJ/TT style game. I like the idea in theory but here's my concern, I'm not really sure what players would do outside of staff run scenes and plots.
A Justice League game could have the Legion of Doom as a counterpoint. Players could hash out their own scenes and have fun during staff downtime. But I can't think of a LoD counterpart for TT/YJ.
Anyone have any ideas? What would you want to see if such a game were to get off the ground?

RE: Good TV
I always blamed BSG for the death of Enterprise because I'd ask someone "Did you see this weeks Enterprise ep?" and then they'd just go on about Battlestar. It was quite frustrating. Especially since I always felt the shows were a bit opposite in how they ended up. Enterprise started weak but ended strong, IMO, and BSG was just the opposite; started strong and ended weak.

RE: Good TV
Hey, not everything is for everybody right? That's why I hesitate to call Discovery bad really, it's just not for me. I don't mind Seth McFarlane myself but I can certainly see how others might have an issue with his writing. I'm just glad both shows seem to be flourishing. The last time we had something like this (dark and gritty BSG up against Enterprise) Enterprise got destroyed and cancelled.

RE: Good TV
@auspice I wouldn't say the plotines is painfully predictable. They've thrown some curve balls in there. That said I think the show just feels good and, for me, makes me feel like I'm 13 again watching TNG. I get to sit down for an hour and just lose myself in some scifi goodness that doesn't take itself too seriously. I think the cast has good chemistry and I think they're developing some good story lines that could actually have impact on things down the road.

RE: Good TV
I'm in the same boat as some others with Discovery just not capturing my interest. When I heard there was a new Star Trek I was excited for Star Trek and to me that means mostly TNG followed by TOS and Voyager. What we got was closer to DS9. Which isn't bad but it's not my cup of tea. At least not right now. I wanted TNG-style Star Trek. Thankfully The Orville fills that need quite nicely. Unfortunately I only have so much time for TV so Discovery has been tossed by the wayside.
That said, back in the day Firefly wasn't my cup of tea either. A few years later I watched it and loved it. I'm assuming the same will be true of Discovery. One day in the future, perhaps once the series has wrapped and I can binge watch the whole thing, I may like it.
Then again I may not. I hate what they did to the Klingons. I hate it. It's not like when Gene Roddenberry updated them for TNG, then he was just doing what he would have liked to have done in TOS. This is Bryan Fuller (and I love Bryan Fuller for the most part) taking a Michael Bay sized dump on my favorite Star Trek species. It just doesn't sit well with me.

RE: Dragonlance?
I'd been thinking of doing up a game inspired by Ravenloft, Bloodborne, and Innistrad using Savage Worlds and this makes me consider it even more.
-
RE: Dragonlance?
Getting into Ravenloft is never the difficult part...

RE: Character Information: Wiki or Mu*?
I much prefer it on the MUX with an option for it to be on the wiki.

RE: Dragonlance?
I f'n wish, man. I'd kill for a Dragonlance game.
