RE: Building: A Basic Tutorial
@Taika
Yeah, make the exit as normal. Set all the attributes on an object or exit elsewise to be the parent, then @parent the exits to the parent. -

@Rainbow-Unicorn
Ahh, I see. The only thing you're missing is Attributes; rather than Str/Dex/Stam and stuff you have divisions of Physical/Mental/Social, though the new MET does utilize the individual traits in a different manner (as specializations, or something you're good at over the rest, where you get benefits and bonuses). Otherwise the sheet is identical (if using a pared down skill list. -
RE: Young Justice / Teen Titans MUX
@wolfs @ThatGuyThere
That's why I suggested just... focusing on the Teen Titans/Young Justice. There are plenty of comics where Superman and Wonder Woman don't show up, the MUSH's focus should be no different. There are plenty of Titans villains. Deathstroke and his Titans, H.I.V.E., plenty of rejected Titans or teen villains... go The Light route and have B- and C-list villains leading ops like drug smuggling. Lift the idea for Club Dark Side and the superpowered fights (a reason to involve Roulette and invoke one of the BEST JLU episodes?) There's plenty to do without the Adult Superheroes having to show up and do stuff. -
RE: Adding Google Fonts to CSS Themes
Can you do this with a normal mediawiki installation?

@nuku_v
Probably not me (I don't play any d20), but I have friends who this is right up their alley. I'll be facebooking them about it. -
RE: Young Justice / Teen Titans MUX
I feel like the focus should mainly be on the teens and late teens characters, ala the second season of YJ where things like Nightwing were mission control, and you saw a lot more late teen characters.

RE: Adding Google Fonts to CSS Themes
@surreality
Neat. I have some fonts I like that I want to use for Houses of the Blood, and it's annoying to have the sizing go all crazy when a player's computer doesn't have the font. -
RE: Theatre of Shadows MUSH - OWoD MUSH Seeks Developers/Staff
Continuing along. It looks like, if all goes well and my streak of catching my errors as I make them holds, I'll be ready for an alpha opening/viewing mid-October. Downtime rules are up on the wiki, Territory rules are in-progress, and the overall policies are going through finalization.
I'm going to continue to chug along and see what happens. The more I'm developing this, the more i'm seeing it as a little bit of a 'spiritual successor' to Requiem for Kingsmouth; I've designed the game to have a heavy socio-political push, particularly with what I've written but also by using Mind's Eye Theatre, I have permission from @Groth to use their play-tier system verbatin, which I like pretty well, and I will probably adjust that somewhat to fit my vision overall.
I am still hoping for one or two staffers; perhaps as I get closer to opening and people can login and check things out on the game proper, I might get a couple of more bites. I'm very easy to staff with and if you've never staffed, but feel like you have good ideas and a familiarity with Masquerade, feel free to hit me up. Some of my best staff in my MU* history came from players of the game, or people that had never staffed before but had good ideas.
Either way, I'm going to get it open; it's not hurting me to have a project to work on in general, and I really feel the game has a lot of potential. I just have to get it there to show off what it is and what it can do and be.

RE: Metrolook Mediawiki skin, questions.
@Seamus
Can you link us to one that has the 'dark' look you want? -
RE: Keep Austin Wyrd
@FoxStevenson
You gave it a good run, and that's what matters. It's hard to take up a game from other people, particularly if you end up needing to do adjustments. The learning experience is very important, and you'll get there.As an aside, if you ever want to bounce single-sphere ideas off of someone, let me know. I love Changeling the Lost quite a bit, and I can at least put the constantly-running WoD part of my brain to extra use beyond the code for my own game.

Nadia Ali: I have really liked her 'look' since finding her in electronic/house music back in the 2000s.

RE: Interest Check: Alternate Supernatural (TV) Game
@insomnia
Don't use HtV. Just use the Cortex system, it's entirely workable and servicable and if you have supernatural monsters without writeups then you can easily work them in since it's all dice ratings, whereas it takes a lot more work to do that with HtV. -

That's my plan for tonight after LARP.

So looking forward to it. -

I can't really see the movie properties as a good game setting. Maybe Mad Max. The rest deal with the very special, very singular character(s) at the focus of an entire setting and how they come into their destiny.
So you won't be Neo with powers. You'll be doing hit and run missions into a virtual space, to what end?
There was a Matrix MUSH long ago, back before the second and third movies came out. It was pretty fun, actually. The staff had built up their own 'here's what the One is, here's what the real world backstory is' and it was things like sabotage missions, extractions and such. It came from some of the people who worked in the Transformers/Megaman MUSH circuit, so it was very faction-based with human groups (including a Cypher-inspired 'return to the Matrix, stop Zion' angle). They didn't allow FCs; the FCs were major NPCs, but they didn't end up overshining things too terribly, and people had stuff to do as it was one of the first games that I was ever on that had some clearly defined 'here's a list of bad guy machine things you can pull out to run'.
Pacific Rim, do we all get to be Mecha-Buffy, or can we be the support team? The tiny, tiny, never in the fight support team who will never learn anything meaningful because that's what the movie is about?
You could get a lot of mileage out of it, treating it like, say, Evangelion and expanding on your own. Don't limit yourself to the exact damn details of the source material and it's a fine setting.

RE: World of Darkness -- Alternative Settings
Van Helsing has an interesting premise of 'the vampires blacked out the sun' and are spreading. They have footsoldiers who aren't super intelligent (more along the lines of zombies, to an extent, from what I've seen in the bit I've watched of the first season), but there are intelligent ones who are primarily the leaders. It could be some neat inspiration.
