Ugh, I don't really watch pros and stuff because I don't have the time or the patience, but I do play League. I mean, i'm not very good at it, but whatever.
Don't get me started on my dumpsterfire of a promo yesterday.

But what Coin is saying is 'This stuff happens on statted games because they are statted.'
I'm saying I've seen it happen on a consent game.
I did not say that at all.
I said that shitty people will find shitty ways of being shitty regardless of context.
I absolutely did not say what you quoted above.

You know, I have to say I like Eldritch more for the fact that you guys will play CAH. XD
It's good to know just how horrible the people you're running a game with are.
Also plot ideas.
Yeah. Plot ideas.
Ohshhiiiiiit.
Patrick's player is in tight with Spider, to the point where he's been her voice on many issues before so that she could appear to not be. Many other times he probably was not, but the fact remains that those were in the minority, in general perceptions.
Besides that, those diagreements that, many times were born from some problem Spider had with someone in which Patrick championed her led to him having chronic arguments with other players, many of which were instrumental in setting up SHH. Add to that that Patrick himself did things IC that other PCs were unwilling to let go and he didn't take that too well OOC...
Also some people just find his inability to express awareness of his character's archetypical (in fact charicaturistic) nature, and his insistence in portraying said attitude OOC as well as IC really fucking grating.

@Jeshin Yeah, I prefer Dota's flexible MMR for the same reason. One game shouldn't count so incredibly much more for your rank than another.
That said, I'm still terrified of doing ranked Dota. SO.
The worst part is that AFAIK, LoL still has a hidden MMR and when you get matched up you don't get matched up based on your league (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc) but your ELO. Sure, you can't get matched up with someone too many levels above or below you in leagues, but that still means that if you're hardstuck in low Bronze but you play relatively well, in general, you're getting matched up with people who play better than the rank you're trying to get the fuck out of. It's really frustrating.
I still want a League of Legends MU.
So much good lore on that game.

The post seemed as though it was seeking to have a large playerbase or at the very least a sizeable staff.
Given the non-PVP nature of the game, a sizeable amount of Staff STs is a must.

I think the Mark Hamill as Joker is a fan-boy hope since Kevin Conroy was apparently cast as an older Bruce Wayne/Batman in the Crisis crossover.
THAT bit is confirmed by Conroy himself.

One of the things that absolutely scares me away from any roster system is that not only that you may have history there that you weren’t aware of and having to negotiate hooks severed with other parts of the game, but it’s entirely possible to play it wrong and mostly this is no longer that character, it’s now another authors take on that character.
This may explain why I can’t get into superhero comics.
There seems to be two groups of superhero MU* creators/players:
"Purists," who create and play games set in one specific franchise at one specific point in the publication of one specific series and GOD HELP YOU if you haven't bought issue #374 Vol 2 and didn't read the editor's response in the letters column IN THE ORIGINAL PRINT RUN which explains Magneto's real motivations because fweqnf;PENFWQNIKN
Fun people.

@Coin Well, yeah, but on comic games that's kind of moot, I generally know what a character can do anyways, unless it's an OC. (Screw OCs.)
This is inaccurate. How do you know which version of the character they are? EVen if it's the same character, how do you know which version of that specific character they are? Is it Silver Age Superman? Bronze Age? Is it Superman Blue? Red? Is it secretly The Eradicator? Is it Superman before, or after Doomsday? Which of the many power levels of Superman is this person being allowed to play?
And does @HelloRaptor run the game and allow Green Lantern rings to give boob jobs?
Important questions only answerable by open sheet format, obvs.
also, lol @ specialty in 'dick ripping'
I've seen it. It was glorious.

And is exciting af
Sure is. Thirty fucking years in the making is what it is.
One of the most indispensable things in any setting in the World of Darkness is hope.
Because true tragedy and narrative darkness is about loss and people can't lose something they don't have.
<.<
I am so glad you're doing this. I can't help because I am knee-deep in my own project (nWoD) but if you need advice about some policies and what not from someone with a little experience with Buffyverse/Unisystem MUs, send me a chat!

@coin for Most Awesomest of Everything.
I gotta admit, it was super satisfying.
Especially because he then went on WORA and lambasted me and kept calling me a dictarotial nazi, etc., and people just kept referencing Godwin's Law (which I had, when he originally did it, which prompted his leaving in a huff).
I mean I'm a dick sometimes but I try to aim my vitriol and trolling at bigger jerks than me.

Story requirement based combat penalties.
If you haven't had enough story, you have a hard time killing one another off, and an easier time surviving. Mooks etc are not so protected. Extra points if players are allowed to play mooks.
Man, it's hard enough getting people to accept needing to be active to buy shit that requires actual action by the book's rules (like Renown). If you tell people they can't even beat each other up unless they have "enough story" (could you be more ambiguous?) they won't even bother. They are much more likely to accept "you just can't get into fights with other PCs", even, IMO.
She's @Chime here. So there you go. She should see this as soon as she logs on, whenever that may be.
