@coin They did change quite a lot actually, but the /feel/ of it was very similar. I quite enjoyed the movie, watched it twice the day I got it and will probably watch it again. I really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the book too but maybe I was just it's target audience being born in the early 70's so the 80's were when my memories really start to be reliable. I know people who claim to remember kindergarten and such but I remember like... 2 powerful memories from that time period.

@livia I did say I was not playing to the clan's best strengths and making it more challenging for myself. It'd be a lot easier if I went the disc route but atm all I am using is Auspex 1 for occasional hacking boosts, Dominate 2 for Command, and Thaumaturgy 2 for the AoE blood purge to open people up to sword swings 
It's fun, but challenging, and I am sure if I went deeper in thaum for blood shield and such or deeper into dominate for the kill powers it'd be super easier, but, not as much fun.
I actually enjoy the melee combat on that game. Reminds me of an early version of the Arkham Batman Games in a lot of ways.
@thenomain Nosferatu is super hard. Can't get any of the blood dolls in the clubs, can't even get into most of the clubs without obfuscate, etc.
I am thinking about trying it next. Tremere is both easy and hard at the same time, dominate is pretty strong. I keep trying to make a melee tremere instead of a gunbunny though so there is that.
Malkavian was by far my easiest play through because obfuscate and dementation together was horribly powerful.
I am considering an animalism based gangrel too, that looks like it could be fun.

@thenomain I've never listened to Wil Wheaton read anything, cuz, I am not a fangirl of his, but I did enjoy the book reading it myself. I haven't seen the movie yet.

So I've been playing through BattleTech, finally getting to the last mission (I think) And they say I need to field multiple lances. Ok, not a problem, but it totally smacks my immersion in the face. I've been fighting this war for like a couple years in game, and I've managed to get a couple lances of heavies with a pair of assaults as anchors. In order for me to field more lances I am going to have to hire mechwarriors. I am going to have to train them up. I am going to have to get amazingly lucky with salvage to get good lance compositions put together.
This is going to take me years in game time to do.
So this civil war is just going to chill. For years. While some mercenary captain runs around building their forces up?

There is no redemption story here that I can see for them. For years this person has done this and they chose to do it, willingly. I would consider such a person to be pretty downright evil. Because it was willful. It was not that they didn't know, they chose to do what they did at your expense.
Excise them from your life so that their influence is no longer making things worse.

Depends on how emotionally invested I am in the source material really.
And sometimes a movie is just /bad/. Regardless of how many explosions and how many times you take advantage of Megan Fox's ass. I'm looking at you Michael Bay.

CrackMUX was /crazy/ fun. It was an insane setting and premise but people just embraced it. I'm not saying there was no drama on CrackMUX or no skeevy types... there definitely were. It was just a lot of /fun/.
