I was big into bbs's in the 80's and 90's and when my town finally got internet access I jumped on it big time, found mud's, found RP muds (Wheel of Time), then moved on to AmberMUSH in 1992 and never looked back to mud's.

The key there is to make a wizard with a 16 constitution if you can swing it, then you have at least 3 hp and more likely 4 or 5. Rolling a 1 for hp on a d4 is less painful than rolling a 1 on a d10 or d12.

So far I have one person wanting a loose rule set, and one wanting a very strict rule set, but both wanting Supers! which is funny all things considered.

Hmm... Supers is a bit more low powered than I was wanting so will also take some tweaking as well.

Aberrant on one hand, (with a completely new setting, I have ideas of how the world reacts to the Nova's and the cause of them, no Divis Mal etc), or a beefed up Supers on the other (Talking like, 7 to 8D instead of 4-5D caps).

Now I have two chat bubbles, and two notification messages that won't go away. Whee.

I've looked at the classic marvel forever already, but, this is really about what other people would want for a system, of which I have gotten very few answers.

There's this fear these days of inter personal conflict. That everyone has to be best friends or you won't be part of the 'cool crowd' or some such. With the hobby sort of promoting clique's of people who are on at your time etc, this isn't entirely unreasonable, everyone wants to have fun and RP.

Antagonistic characters can turn a scene into an unwanted confrontation, where people may or may not, just be out to relax after a hard day at work or whatever.

Personally I always end up with IC enemies, because I play my characters as who they are, not as social chameleons trying to get on everyone's best, (unless they /are/ a social chameleon character).

But I am not afraid of a shitstorm either, or losing my character if it's IC, so we end up with the White Hat crowd who will White Hat even if it's not thematically appropriate not caring for my pc's a bunch of the time due to my inability to not have a character /live/ in the setting they are in.

Still can't see the text in my notifications window using a dark background, same for new chats.

Also apparently someone sent me a chat, and then removed it, but the notification is still stuck up at the top with a little '1' surrounded in red over the chat bubble even though there's nothing there.

I even went through all my past chats 1 by 1 to try and force it to clear but the person the notification said sent me a chat... isn't on the list. Not sure how that works.

I'm good with this AND with making downvotes not anonymous. Nobody should be ashamed to downvote to begin with... I mean... it's us.

I'm considering Supers, I looked at Icons but it didn't really float my boat. As for XP, yeah, there'd be no XP transfer, and XP would likely be fairly slow unless I went with Marvel, cuz it requires rediculous amounts of karma to do anything cool.

Well Marvel I can code an automatic resolution in. To take away some of the pain of learning the system. With Wild Talents the system itself is really simple, and yet horribly complex, and really easy to get confused if you are unfamiliar.

EDIT: Also, if I was /truly/ an awful person, I'd code it up so it random rolled hero's unlimited characters!
