RE: Dystopia MUX
Oh awesome, I totally want to play a middle manager in Lockheed-Aegis who is in way over their head!

RE: RL Anger
Motherfucker, I've had scotches foisted off on my by scotch-drinking former friends (yes, that is a fucking warning!) for thirty fucking years. How many more years of this shit do I have to try before I'm permitted to decide I don't like your filthy, watered-down, ineffective cough syrup?
But have you tried it with Dr Pepper?

RE: RL things I love
@Ganymede That look on Bones' face. You gotta know that was like the 15th take and the only one they could keep it somewhat together for.

I'm still in Dragon Age: Inquisition, for fuck's sake
Same. And eventually I figure I'll actually finish Mass Effect 3, or one of the Fallout games aside from New Vegas instead of getting distracted.
Dr Pepper and a week off in February, yo.

RE: Fanbase entitlement
@Ganymede @Tyche I was going to suggest a star wars diplomacy game, but everyone here is into WoD, so that theme might be more funny.
Team Vampires
Team Werewolves
Team Mage
Team Changeling
Team Wraith
Team Hunters
Team... Autobots? I don't know enough about WoD. -
RE: Fanbase entitlement
@Ganymede I think a diplomacy mush would be a hoot. Have each turn take a week, with RP focused around the negotiations.
You could have the leaders be randomized amongst the player base, so you're never sure just how crazy Dear Leader is as extra players could be cabinet members trying to negotiate alliances only to have Dear Leader submit orders to the contrary.
Finally, IC and OOC aggrevation are the goals of the game!

RE: Warhammer 40k?
Once upon a time I figured out how to make a dice roller, this system only uses D10s so that's dead easy. One of these days I'll figure out how to make a cgen.

RE: RL Anger
@Miss-Demeanor The house behind my apartment has a crew of these people. I watched them one day and one of them spent 10 minutes trying to corral a piece of trash with a leaf blower rather than just bending down to pick it up. WTF, man?!
One of the other people on the crew was a god with theirs, cleared up their half of the yard in about 20 seconds while Moron McLoudblower is just too stoned to cope with life on the other side.

If you're going to be a tour guide, lose the vocal fry.
There's nothing worse than hearing every detail of a new facility like you totally could have made one better, but you had to go to the mall because Brad was in the food court flirting with that slut at the Orange Julius.

@Cupcake The Judo is really fun to watch, especially after watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hggWspDnGM that explains the scoring.
The Italian guy over the weekend was awesome to watch.

RE: Pokemon Go
I'm at 9, but with how glitchy it is, I kind of don't care anymore.

RE: Pokemon Go
I've been playing on and off, but get frustrated by how arbitrary the capturing is. Like, now that I'm level 9, most of them get away, or the pokeball just flies through the pokemon and I 'miss'. Or some stupid zubat keeps breaking out and I have to try again.
Then I'll but it down for a week or so, and remember that I have it and then just get annoyed again. Is there actually any rhyme or reason to how you capture those things? It seems like some RNG in the background just seems to randomize what happens.
UG!

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Ganymede Yeah, I feel like half of the squad was shorted on their introductions. I didn't even care about the Joker, he seemed shoehorned in, I wanted to know more about the actual suicide squad members, like who was that bionic commando dude they tacked on at the end? Did he even get a line?
-
RE: Good or New Movies Review
Suicide Squad was pretty non-offensive(I went in expecting a steaming pile). I mean, whoever was in charge of the music should totally be shot, but other than that, I think waiting for the director's cut is the right choice. Seems like a lot of important stuff was left on the cutting room floor. I also hear Batman Vs Superman has a director's cut out that makes the movie make some sense.

RE: Good TV
@Insomnia Yes, it is awesome. I was going to do things today, but I'm just watching all of it..
The only bad thing about this show is I flipped the cushions on the couch and lost my spot. My back hurts.
Annnnnd done!
So, who else is never sleeping again?

Would a meta-shadowrun game be fun?
I'm watching this Enron documentary during my lunch break and can't help but think Shadowrun while watching this.
I'm imagining a game where the players are all Johnsons doing sketchy things.
All of the shadowrunners are rostered characters that keep 'evidence points' on each Johnson every time they work for them, along with a + - to see if they like them or not.
If a shadowrunner has enough evidence points and a poor enough perception of a Johnson, they might become antagonists and give the evidence to a Johnson they like.
Players try to accumulate evidence against other players to ruin their careers, while they do their best to have a luxurious life.
This might work better as a kind of app or door game, though.

RE: RL Anger
My work building has mice in it. A few years back we returned from christmas break to find everything covered in mouse poo (there was a scheduling mix up and the wet garbage was left over the 2 week break), so the facilities people put out bait traps so we could have green mouse poo everywhere, I guess it's festive or something.
This spring, we asked them to remove the bait traps, as they were pretty much just feeding stations, and it seemed to be some sort of vitamin mix because there were more mice than ever, we could hear them in the ceilings, and in the walls of our cubicles, it was pretty creepy.
When the feeding stations went away, so did the mice and no poo for months.
So, what does facilities do? They bring back the feeding stations and everything's green poo again.
Thanks for bringing the mice back, pest control. I just overheard a conversation with the facilities guy and my boss, he was trying to explain that the baiting stations were getting rid of the mice. What a fucking scam.
