F&L is very very very bad.
ETA: Like I would suggest FH before F&L, and VAS is there.

I don't log at work. I'm allowed to mush, but I really don't think logging would be a good idea.
@auspice I have one I love. Like really really love. I cart my laptop with me from work to school to home to work all the time, in and out of it at least twice a day. Looove it.

@auspice I don't want to try and tackle details because I don't know what they are (I have not done an analysis or looking in pretty much forever), but I know there's SOME sort of differences in Cinematic vs Not Cinematic Unisystem, in the mechanics themselves. Buffy (and the other Cinematic stuff) is setup so you can get wilder heroics and such, to go along with a TV show sort of feel.
Buffy is Cinematic Unisystem, which is pretty close to the base Unisystem, which is what Witchcraft uses. To do Witchcraft, I don't think a Buffy setup would need that much modification.
@auspice I'd second Witchcraft. It's the Unisystem (Buffy is Cinematic Unisystem, which is similar but not the same). Good system, solid rules, provides a good framework without being toooooooo limiting. I think it matches up decently tone wise, too.
As far as code goes...somebody has got to have a Buffy DB laying around somewhere. -.-
@ganymede I am so hungry right now. I see an attempt at making them in my future.
@ganymede I also love to cook. I am not so good at it as other people, but I love it very much! Eating is also good. Mmmm potstickers.
@mietze Hooray for bread machines! That's awesome that it can help like that.
I have a pot roast cooking in the kitchen. I have not had one in sooooooo long (because jfc has anyone seen beef prices these days?!? yay pigs!) but it was on sale and it's cooking. There are potatoes.
@onigiri said in FCs on Comic MUs:
I don't think I've seen gender swaps a lot, however, so much as creative interpretations of FC sexuality. Which is also always someone just wanting to bring out their particular fetish into the FC. I don't think I've ever seen that go over well. Ever.
Wait, what?
I do not think this site should touch on handling issues that happen anywhere else but this site. So if the harassment can be pointed at here and whatnot, yes, please, deal with it. But certain people like to make accusations of harassment against people who they have extensively harassed, and also accused people of harassment for things like leaving their game. Too much potential crazy. But the PM thing, where people repeatedly message folks after they say stop, that should be actionable. And traditionally has been.
Go into the category. In the upper right, there should be a 'watching' option somewhere. There's an option to not show in unread. It won't disappear entirely from your sight, but the existence of it should no longer inconvenience you.
The problem with doing that is that it then requires people to have a membership to peruse the ad forum. As it stands, I do not believe that they do.
Not all of us play on games where this is the case.
I agree with @Three-Eyed-Crow. Really all we need to do is have a sticky in the ad forum that says 'this is the rule: constructive like the constructive forum'. I don't think it's as much a case of even needing an actual rule so much as it is...okay, now we know what it's for, it's outlined what it's for, stay within that. The only thing we lack is an official 'do it this way'. The reason it gets like it does is because there isn't anything saying otherwise.
