Back in highschool I did a post apoc game using the hero syestem and it worked out alright, though it was not really fallout specific, it was sort of an all out post apoc throw everything against the wall and see what stick homebrew setting.
Lets not forget the famous and wonderful chain mail bikinis.
Might be a bit of an obvious answer but has anyone tried Apokalypse World for a Fallout game?
I have noticed myself the mushes are less clique-y then in the past.
None of the places I have tried in the last couple of years have been that hard to find rp in, finding a group I really clicked well with might be a different story but most places I have seen people have been pretty open to new comers.
The last place I felt I had trouble finding Rp because I was new was Haunted Memories.
Some what, with wireless matrix they are less isolated. and with Ar being a thing there are ways to tag along with them a little easier though the still somewhat form their own minigame at times.
I have found from the table top I am in, on actual runs it is not so bad but when the decker pc wants to to the pre run prep the rest of us usually have time for a break, go get food, eat food, talk about tv and watch you tube video for about 30-60 minutes. Not on a much a lot of that could be handled with +jobs before doing the run scene and even in table top it tends to come up in roughly once every three sessions or so.
I always liked Fuzion as a system, added some extra depth to the Cyberpunk Mekton system but not going full on into hero system, which I like btu could be a grind especialyl if ou did anything close ot a large combat.
Bubblegum Crisis used it as well.
@NotaNumber
Denver uses 3rd edition rules, whcih were the most fiddily of the editions, I like it in someways but both 4th and 5th would be better online both of whcihbioil down WoD with d6es instead.
Even the exact same success chance on each die for normal rolls. With 10 again WoD dice equal one third of a success, and SR 4th and 5th dice are a sucess on 5 and 6 only so it would not me much harder to use then WoD online I wouldn't think.
To my knowledge no, but I was out of mushing for a few years when I had a night job so there could have been one from 2000-2003.
I think it could work, the hardest part would be educating folks on the mechanics, they are not quite as quick oto grasp as WoD is in some ways.
I always thought it game from the terms Sphere of influence, though that was just my guess. If Staffer X was in charge of vaps that was her Sphere of influence and we just shorted it ot sphere. Though like i said thatwas just my assumption.
I would also say give the original mechanics for Soverign Stone a look, magic was a skill like any other in it. Though it is hard to find and the second edition used D20.
Ars Magica is a really good suggestion too, and last i heard 4th ed was free on the publishers site, though that was a year or more back.
Only minorly on topic but that life path thing sounds very ineresting . I will have ot pick up Run Faster to check it out.
I have hte Base 5th ed book but nothing else since our table top group will be sticking with 4th ed tto finish the campaign and almost never runs the same game two compaigns in a row.
You are correct with original use MA, thogh now it pretty much means anything that would have that sort of book.
I would vote San Francisco out of those options. I would vastly prefer something West coast to get more of the Japanese influnce that is in cuyberpunk things.
for not on the list I would offer Chicago, not a lot of games set there and in 2050 it would not be Bug City yet.
During the original run of DBZ, I used to joke that one third of every episode of recap, one third in the middle new stuff and one third next time peviews.
It drove fans of the show crazy because is was so close to true.
@Glitch
I expressed a negetive opinion in a resigned to it has happened and will continue to fashion so that shoud be 5 negetive responces.Though 5 to 3 is still not overwhelming given the sample size.
On the spaces thing, I had one professer who wanted a specific amount not counting spaces so to some it might be a thing.
The counting on the unread has been around forever.
though I have noticed a lot of 504 and 502 errors since the update as some have mentioned, I never got one before now it seems I get a couple seach session and the speed is slower. Hopefully the issue with the memory is sorted now that Glitch has mentioned keeping an eye on it. I will edit this post if they keep happening.
Second minor complaint there is no longer the automatic spell check in posting. I will miss that, since I transpose letters quite a lot in typing.
I agree with TNP if this is modern I will gladly stay behind the times.
I have gotten to where I accept the new look and can use it well enough but yeah i miss it looking like a board.
It does not quite look as bad as the youtube comments as Raptors hyperbole but we can see that from here.
@Jennkryst I honestly did not do anything.
I use firefox. I posted earlier dthis mornign complaining. Then ran some errends and went out to lunch away from the computer came back fired up the site and it had changed for the better. I credit the Glitch/whoever is working one it.
When it comes to computers I am a competent end user at best so likely not much help.
