You're doing most of what I do, I think the only thing I'd add is putting people / keywords beyond your own character's name into highlights. Like I have my PC's family, her friends' names, the group she belongs to, and so on. I highlight basically everything I can think of that should catch my eyes, and then I acknowledge that I'm skimming everything else and let my guilt for said skimming go because you can really only pay attention as a person to so much. I forgive myself for missing poses sent my way that don't include my character's name.

I also scroll back a page or so when I'm trying to read wall-o-text so it isn't moving on me, and then advance the screen at my pace instead of the pace of 30 people posing at once. It overwhelms me less that way, to read a page at a time instead of seeing it go and go and go. I get it all read at the same general pace either way, but this way one tiny little something something is no longer providing stimulation that adds to the overwhelmed.

I started out trying to wear slacks and fancy shirts at this job, because it's what I had worn in the job before and government job and blah blah.

The first time I crawled back out from under a desk and had a gray stripe down my leg for the rest of the day, I conceded that jeans would do. It's actually vaguely irritating, in that I have a lot more business casual clothing that fits my current (smaller) size than I do lazy clothes. All of my lazy clothes want to fall off.

What kind of help are you envisioning needing? Like, if people go 'I like this idea, I want to help, he's mentioned needing help', what kinds of things are there for them to do? It will help people figure out if they have it in them to contribute or not.

If I had more energy, if I had any creative power right now, I'd offer some of it to you. It's a good concept, it's a great idea, and I really really really hope you can find a team to work with. Best of luck, and I hope I can someday play on this game.

There is a TON of stuff you can do in Star Wars without Features being on-screen characters at all. I've run many a Star Wars tabletop that was LOTS of fun without any of the major players making an appearance.

My job is being amazing about my whole thing, AND allows for other employees to donate sick leave. No guilt or anything; as soon as I came back to work, people started approaching me in the halls asking if they could help, because most folks have so much stored up they'd like to use it to help.

Actually no, you probably shouldn't. Though my reaction is really more along the lines of...

I've had a long time to process and stuff, I'm a lot luckier than a lot of the people who are traumatized right now. I'm alright.

I told. My mother slapped me and called me a liar. Then fifteen years later when she was divorcing him, she asked me to come participate in the divorce stuff with that information. Then earlier this year, he was possibly dying, and she wanted me to come over to her house and sit with that side of the family to provide comfort, because of said possibly dying, and she is actually still mad at me for saying 'no' to that. I'm pretty okay with her being mad at me. I'm also pretty okay with how uncomfortable I know she is right now with everything going on in the news.

Meh. People are messed up in so, so many delightful ways.

Depends on the type of game. Wholly, 100%. Some games are a hard yes, some are more wishy-washy, some are a 'nope, probably not'. One size does not fit all.

So, I had another heart attack after nothing for 2 years, having been pronounced 'cured' by virtue of the final cardiologist saying there was nothing apparently wrong with me and the attacks had stopped (I had 3 back in 2015).

It is so hard some days to keep swimming upstream. So, so, so hard. The medical professionals are doing their best, but nobody really knows what the hell they're doing when you present with something that doesn't fit the mold.

THIS IS NOT GOING TO KILL ME, for the record. The nature of it being what it is, I am gonna manage to survive it as long as I don't give up. Which I won't, because I've stubborned through everything else like this in my life. It just sucks. Like really, hardcore, incredibly sucks.

I don't want to be broken any more.
