@Lithium I used to get that occasionally due to the way I ran a Naruto theme on MCM sometimes (mostly from one player). Primarily because I tried very hard to be consistent with Naruto's theme. Unlike most anime, that theme has all their dumb anime shit down to Star Trek level science detail, so I just tried to maintain that consistency because I thought it was cool.

That said, I honestly do enjoy some theme coherency, I feel like it creates some limitations to give the world a solid flavor. And when those limitations are broken, it's cool and special. A part of why I'm limiting my MU to four areas of theme inspiration to start, and only veeeery selectively adding anything after those four in a way that doesn't impact the established world too hard.

So yeah, don't be afraid to stick to theme! Also, if anyone knows Yakuza, it's definitely Chet >_>.

Thats right, if you have a group of friends who can make an active organization you can have your own Corellian Corvette. Fancy, I know.

And yes, combat on SW:AoA requires you to have a coded weapon unless you're fighting with your fists and feats.

As for something like what Lobot was wearing, it can be requested to be made into a object, or possibly even a Feat for your +sheet. Fact is, in 17 years, nobody has ever asked for anything like Lobot's headgear.

In the long line of Star Wars' lore, there's never been a ton of 'General Grievouses' out there either, he was a pretty special snowflake... and totally should stay that way too. But thats not to say that a really good role player couldn't take on a concept like that... again, if they asked.

Coded droids use their own Feats to have language access. Thats part of a coded Protocol Droid for instance.

A PC'd protocol droid / translator droid is awarded all coded languages to their +sheet, which functions identically to a coded object droid.

Sadly I'm not really anything of a coder to offer assistance in that regard. But I love historic themes.

If you want a single-focus game, you have to be pretty hardcore about telling players to app within that focus (I have learned this lesson from frustrating past experience). I personally don't see this as limiting. It's being clear about the kind of stories you'd like to tell and what you'd like to provide for players. I don't actually like games that try to be ALL THE THINGS and, unless they have a huge playerbase, I feel like that attitude becomes self-defeating.

He has done a lot of Astro city stuff volume three went from 2013 to 2016 but you should really read every scrap of Astro City if you have not and like Busiek. that started late 90s and did a long run on the Avengers 98-2002 and the first hunk of Thunderbolts Starting in 1997-2000. All three of these are good reading and fairly easy to find collected editions of
He also did a fairly long run on Superman starting 2006 though I did not read that one so cannot comment on quality.

Okay, so with Potato, when you first open it, you'll see the standard kind of stuff at the top. Just click on File>Address Book. This will open up a new window within Potato. Click New World from the selection of items towards the bottom. It will pop up another dialogue window. Add in the Name section "DC Rebirth" or whatever you want to call the game. Then in the Host section type dcrebirthmux.com. In the Port section, type in 2001. Click Okay. On the Address book window, click close.

You're ready to connect to DC Rebirth, at that point. So, just click File>Connect To>DC Rebirth. You don't have a character yet, so you won't have anything to save for a character. Just click "No Character".

You'll see the log in screen of the game. It will prompt you for your name and password. You'll see three options here. Just type "connect guest" and press return. This will bring you onto the game as a guest. In the first room, I think you'll have to type "I agree" and that will bring you into the nexus room where you can talk to us on game and we can go over some commands with you and talk about what characters we have available and what you're interested in doing.

@Bob IIRC It's been around since the mid to late 90's. It shut down at one point but reopened later (same owner, though). Unfortunately, it's pretty much your standard "report-filing simulation". It's set in an alternate timeline and bears only passing resemblance to anything you would probably recognize as canon Star Trek.

It's also a MOO, not MUSH, in case that matters to you.
